palofmine Posted July 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2015 Fresh observations from a cruiser. Dining room food is fair, windjammer food excellent. Dining room service is slow. 30minutes between courses, no drink person or bread person. Deck patrol and security on on top of chair joggers, drug users, and underage drinking. Ifyou go to Mahobeach...do not stand against thefence at the airport..someone got hit by a cab after the plane jet blast threw her against the cab. Great to hear about the crack downs. Enjoy your cruise. EDIT: I hope the food service in the MDR improves for you. palofmine Posted July 21, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted July 21, 2015 Thanks. Not too worried about mdr food, since windjammer is available. The pool staff just brought out a ton of chairs , cause peoplecouldn't find places to sit.

marci22 Posted July 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 21, 2015 (edited) ... no drink person or bread person... No bread? On our May Liberty cruise, the assistant waiter handled the bread, but we had to ask after the first time. Sometimes we got it, sometimes not. They used to ask you several times during dinner if you wanted more bread. Edited July 21, 2015 by marci22
Langley Cruisers Posted July 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2015 (edited) ^ Sounds like the assistant waiter is MIA.... I'd do it myself! Nothing gets between me and my savory bites. :) Edited July 21, 2015 by Langley Cruisers

Nothing gets between me and my savory bites. :) They only had 1 or 2 per basket on our last cruise. My kids wanted them and asked for them, but we never saw any more than 1 or 2 per night. We had early dining and our wait team was just so so. I usually tip extra at the end but this time I didn't. I got the feeling they expected it, too. barbon2 Posted July 21, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 21, 2015 Drug users?? Wow, I have been on many cruises and never saw anyone openly using drugs. Maybe a few elders taking their cholesterol meds at dinner, lol, but hard drugs ?.

I have smelled smoked drugs in the halls, and it was after a stop in the Caribbean Islands. I have never seen it smoked openly in public. I might mention it wouldn't be hard to find the offending cabin in my example, they'd just have to follow the smell. ;) EDIT: After 25 cruises this has only occured 2 times. irishgal432 Posted July 21, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 21, 2015 Maybe the savory bites are the drugs. They are addictive.
