amberdc87 Posted July 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2015 Per John Heald page: The sounds of the Caribbean are back and I thank the beards so much for listening to me and you and returning this live music to the Lido. We currently have brilliant Caribbean music on the: Carnival Breeze Carnival Conquest Carnival Ecstasy Carnival Pride In August we will add the Carnival Liberty, in September the Carnival Dream and by early next year most of the ships will have a Caribbean duos playing the music that truly sets the scene. I am super excited about this. The music really sets the scene when sailing!

I tell you what, I'm just take your place on the Glory while you wait for the live band to come back to the Glory. It's a "sacrifice" I am willing to make for a fellow CC member! :D:eek::p

djcass4199 Posted July 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted July 24, 2015 I hope this does not mean Caribbean music on Lido all the time. I'd rather rip my ears off. I can only hear Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffett oh so many times before I want to jump overboard.

cruising maniac Posted July 24, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 24, 2015 This is most excellent!! I personally love Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffett. Feelin' Hot Hot Hot.........Cruising to me is having a drink of the day on the lido deck, listening to live music. I am very happy. Thanks Carnival for listening to your clients. :D

CRJ700 Posted July 24, 2015 #19 Share Posted July 24, 2015 Also on Freedom 3 weeks ago. Super!! Sailing the Freedom at the end of Sept. I was a afraid I was going to miss it. Do they replace the DJ on the lido or do they just play random locations occasionally?

jordanaire Posted July 24, 2015 #23 Share Posted July 24, 2015 Glad to hear that the live music is back onboard! Especially on the Dream...as we set sail on her on Sept 27th! I hope that it's more than a DJ playing music. I'd rather have the live bands, even if they are banging the trash can lids! :cool:Bill
CocoCandy Posted July 24, 2015 #24 Share Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) I was on Glory in April when they kept playing " Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars or the " Wobble Wobble..." and it got old very fast. I am super happy the Caribbean music is back!! Love steel drums and reggae! sapphire_407 Posted July 24, 2015 #25 Share Posted July 24, 2015 That is fantastic news. I'll be on the Conquest in October so I chose the right cruise. I cannot imagine why they stopped the live bands. A seriously bad move.
