Flying in the day before our cruise, and want to try one of these two for dinner.

They seem to be in the same area....

So, which one has the best seafood?:D:D

Grills had rock shrimp last time we were there. Pretty good. They are also right next to the Royal terminal T1. However, Millikens has the best view for sail away.

they all, Mil' Rustys Fishlips and Grills all sit in a row on the south side of the channel

Mil is the west most, Grills is east most and adjacent to Terminal 1

I prefer Grills, which happens to also be the only one with a second (very popular) location which speaks to their popularity IMO

but in fairness I think a survey of locals would find an almost equal split among R FL and G with M being less because they are a bit more $$

Grills also does breakfast

Did you see that Milliken family owns the lease for the land Fish Lips sits on. Seems they are trying to trade it back to the Port for some additional land they can build a hotel and village on. Not sure how that might affect Fish Lips in the future

What is the parking situation for these restaurants? I am not familiar with the Port Canaveral area and have not been in the area since the new terminals have been built. Driving through the area near the channel where the restaurants are located in the past, my impression was that they have very constricted, small lots. What is the situation currently?

Thanks for the information!

you might have to walk a little but there is a lot of parking as there are many empty lots as soon as you get away from the water's edge. Across from Rusty's is a BIG paved lot which was for the casino boats that ran from here back in the 80's. Down by Grills there is new parking outside of the terminal which IME is empty except when the terminal is actually in use loading/unloading

You can check it out on Google Earth ... the picture is still pretty accurate - but IS from b4 T-1 was completed .... just under construction.

************

Footnote, as mentioned on the site, the Port Canaveral webcam sits on the roof of FISHLIPS. When it is pointed out the channel / towards T-1, it is looking over GRILLS . . . if looking to a Disney ship, it is pointed westerly

this one is older yet but show's where the big 3 are

The T1 lots finally got parking barricades put up. Not able to park there anymore

We've eaten at all 4. Mil's was for appies and a M&G. We've had dinner at Rusty's, M&G and separate dinner at FL, and 2 dinners at Grills. I enjoyed Grills the most, but we had a really good crew at the FL M&G and they had a good cover band that night.

We've only eaten at Rusty but the food was great. Best bacon wrapped scollops I've ever eaten ! Enjoyed sitting outside watching the ships leave but remember to time it so that you are there before 4 pm to get a table on the deck. Was given the same advise from someone else, Thanfully ! The tables on the deck fill up fast around that time due to the fact that that is "sail away" time. Not sure if that applies to all of the restuarants with outdoor dining or not but would get there early to any of them if you want to eat outside. Which ever one you choose hope you enjoy your meal.

Do all have the restaurants along the Port Canaveral channel have entertainment in the late afternoon and into the evening?

Fishlips seems to most days from what I am able to hear on the PC web cam.

YES ... they all do have music in the evening .....
