BeeeJay Posted August 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2015 So I went to my local Rivers casino in Des Plaines and waited in line and picked up a free cruise for 2 voucher on Sunday. Well, wouldn't ya know it, I call the number on the voucher and NCL has no record of me, there is no "code" or whatever they need on the voucher. Anyone else ever have a similar experience? The Casino took my ID and recorded my check-in, and gave me the voucher as well as a drawing entry for free airfare, onboard credit, etc. Anyone have any clue how this thing works??? Sauer-kraut Posted August 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Howdy neighbor! :D Sorry I can't help with the voucher, I would call Rivers customer service and find out what the code is supposed to be. Let them know the problem you're having trying to book!

Thanks for responding Sauer-kraut---yep first thing I did after getting off the line was call Rivers---they sent me to voicemail.....no return phone call. Guess I'll give it a couple days before I give up. Would like to take advantage of great airfares though.

When we have picked up vouchers from Total Rewards (Caesars) casinos in Atlantic City, they have specifically told us to wait a couple (I can't remember if it's been two or three days exactly) of days before calling NCL. I think that the voucher numbers have to be updated in the CAS system once they are distributed. Hopefully, it's the same situation for you...just try again mid-week. Good luck! Daghis Posted August 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2015 When I first received a free cruise offer from my local casino, when I called NCL, there was apparently some confusion over my local casino's player's card number. They had a different number than what I had. I think it was because I had lost my card and got a new one. NCL did find me in their system and it all worked out in the end. I agree that it might take a couple days for the databases to get updated. It's worth trying again.
BeeeJay Posted August 12, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Thanks guys-- I was able to contact Rivers via their facebook page, they called NCL and corrected some error, and I was able to call today and reserve. I was anxious to do it quickly as cabins were filling and cheap flights were available....got exactly what i wanted (mini suite with large balcony, the last one with bed on balcony side) and flights were insanely cheap. Sorry to hear that..... might mean one less legendary LV trip report ;-) What ship/date? I assume you got one of the SWA special fares?

I assume you got one of the SWA special fares? Haha.....yes it probably will result in one less Vegas excursion! Well.....I always say that, but it never does. ;) My VIMFP trip is in jeopardy due to Father-Daughter Dance, so my VMB countdown is 50/50 at best. NCL Getaway, 7-night Western Caribbean, 12/13-12/20. Insane Flight---RT on United from ORD-FLL $126.20. Freaking Round TRIP!!! I like United cause the Economy Plus is EZ.....I'm almost to Premier Gold and then I'll be able to book it at reservation instead of 24 hrs before, although its rarely not available at check in. You've got a really tough decision on that one! I imagine that time of year will be great for cruising. It will get you mentally ready for Christmas madness with your kids! That price is crazy....lucky you! Edited August 13, 2015 by asubaru
