OlsSalt Posted August 16, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) This topic got started on another thread and is an interesting topic on its own: how does one get onboard cruise credits before they get on their next HAL ship? 1. HAL credit card 2. 100 shares of CCL stock ownership 3. Sign up on a prior HAL cruise 4. Travel agent perk 5. Initial booking offer 6. Gift cards 7. Compensation offered for acknowledged prior cruise deficiencies Other ways? Edited August 16, 2015 by OlsSalt
SJSULIBRARIAN Posted August 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2015 IMO your list pretty much covers it. I believe one can also purchase OBC if one wanted to.

taxmantoo Posted August 16, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2015 Some people get the "Welcome Home" ZPM offers. Everybody gets the ZPM offers. If you don't specifically receive an e-mail from HAL upon your return home, you or your travel agent can just quote the "ZPM" when booking within a certain time frame and you will get the OBC. Rare Hlitner Posted August 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2015 For us its pretty easy. Never book directly with HAL and use a cruise agency that is offering decent onboard credit incentives (which can be several thousand dollars on long cruises). And we agree that owning 100 shares of CCL (and RCI) pays lots of dividends in terms of OBC. Hank
