are cabs available to tel aviv from ashdod

we are just arriving at 1pm in Ashdod and just wanted to take a cab to and from the ship to tel aviv to see a few sites and have dinner with relatives

and if possible what is the cost

Yes.

But whereas there'll be vans at the terminal touting to take folk to Nazareth, Galilee, etc at very reasonable cost there'll be no demand for Tel Aviv so just taking a taxi at the port will be very expensive. Better to pre-book & much better still if you can find sharers via your RollCall.

You have to drill down to the website solutions to make sure the options are out there at the times you need.

 

Another option is to post on the Israel board on TripAdvisor. We DIY'd in Israel a few years ago and the TA group was one of the most helpful location boards I've found on TripAdvisor.

It also depends whether you arrive on Shabat or a Jewish Holiday :)

 

In a little more than 2 weeks we'll have the Jewish New Year and plenty of holidays for about 3 weeks in a row .....
