Pearl64 Posted August 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Thank you, Flyer Talker. Many of those airports are under consideration or written in stone for our next few trips this year. Wow, I couldn't believe the Istanbul airport wanting us to arrive 3.5 hours ahead of time. That would mean 2:30 am. Will the gates even be open for check in? I would hate to stay awake all night only to find out we had to wait a couple of hours to check in. But, at least we know and can try to mentally prepare for it. alcpa1 Posted August 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Another thank you. Have plans for at least two to four of the mentioned airports for connections within the next year. I was aware of AMS, JFK, LHR and FCO but not about SJU and we are headed down soon.

Rare FlyerTalker Posted August 24, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted August 24, 2016 Interesting. SkyTeam put together a highly-promoted joint lounge in T4 a couple years back. Now, DL is moving out of T4 to be more aligned with its non-SkyTeam partner VS. No complaints from me, as the T3 Virgin Clubhouse is WAY better than the T4 lounge. Mrs FT says that she's always disappointed that our LHR departures are on time and operating because there are few better places to be stranded than the Clubhouse. Ine Posted August 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 24, 2016 At Amsterdam Schiphol airport we already had to use the pre departure check of Delta last September. We were flying business class and could do the extra check right after checkin at a special desk. Economy class passengers had to report indeed to D1 of E 4 before they could go to the actual departure gate.

Make sense considering how much of VS Delta owns. :D
