We will be in Coco Cay at end of Feb.

The last time we were their we went to the closest beach on left when you get off tender, but we found it had an awful lot of seaweed in the shallow water and we found that not really to our liking.

If we go to Barefoot beach this time , will we have the same problem.

I know this is not a huge problem in the scheme of things but it is very annoying to me.

Just wander around until you get to the section of the island that suits you! It's not that big...you can walk the shoreline in about 15 mins!!! That 1st beach area is always the most crowded...there are other areas!!

The OP was asking about seaweed conditions in the water not if the beach was crowded. Many islands in the Caribbean have been having issues lately with heavy concentrations of seaweed in the water and on the beaches.

I read something a few days ago about the seaweed being worse this year. Here's a link to an article I just Googled.

I noticed seaweed in March at on our cruise. It was very bad at Costa Maya, but we also saw it in the water while cruising too.

A lot depends on the wind and currents on any given day. We'll be on a 21 day b3b western Caribbean in late Nov. I hope it's moved on by then. Good luck on your cruise.
