So, I would also bet if you pay tax on the package through BV you would still be charged a per drink tax while in US waters. Just a FYI $56.00 tax does not show up on the BV order till the very end of the order, right when you put your CC info in. I will wait till I am on the ship and save the tax.

If you buy online it charges you for the day you disembark as well

For my cruise from Texas (7 day cruise Sat-Sat) it is coming up with 2 x $344.66 (i.e., 6 days x 49.99 plus 15%) plus tax of 56.87. So, it look like it is still excluding embarkation day and the day we disembark.

No, it doesn't. It charges you for each night of the cruise, which is equivalent to each day of the cruise except for debarkation day.

Cheers isn't worth it for us gamblers anymore! It used to be that you could get the Cheers at 15 limit per day and the Drinks on Us card was unlimited Now I've heard they changed it so it's a 15 limit for BOTH combined. That means if I get 8 drinks in the casino I'm only allowed 7 on the Cheers!

Can anyone confirm this?

Just got off the phone with Carnival and mentioned the tax ( $72.38) for a 7 day cruise and she couldn't explain why that amount was showing up . I was thinking once you officially sail away you will not have to pay the tax.

I might just wait to board and decide if we do cheers or not :)

I can confirm this.

That is what happened to my mom on our Glory cruise this past May. She had Cheers and she had the "Drinks on Us". Once she hit the 15 drink limit that was it. She could not get a drink using EITHER card OR paying cash. Mom was done for the night. LOL!

Thanks for confirming this. They won't cut you off if you only have the DOU card, hit 15 total (paying cash and DOU combined). If that's the case, I don't want the DOU card either!

I just went and tried to buy it for my upcoming cruise - it rang up as 3 adults, even though there are only 2 adults in the room. It apparently isn't smart enough yet to see that our 10 month old isn't an adult.

What’s NOT included?

Non-alcoholic beverages other than soda and non-alcoholic frozen cocktails

I understand this to mean it does include soda and non alcoholic frozen cocktails, but it does not include non-alcoholic beverages, which I would understand to be juices or maybe non-alcoholic beer.

No worries, it still includes those virgin frozen cocktails!

You can't use a gift card?? Is that also true for Bottomless Bubbles? I purchased gift cards specifically because I read it can be used for any on board expenses.

You can use gift cards for onboard expenses, just NOT in the Fun shop :(

Lame, I know.

Once you are onboard you can either go to a kiosk to apply your gift card to your S&S account, or guest services can do it for you also.

Ah ok. So I can just wait to add the drink package and pay with the gift card then? Thanks
