Pizza--what is your opinion?

I liked the old recipe much better. New version is like a flat bread with a 1/2 teaspoon of sauce. I miss the anchovies too!

 

Lines seem to indicate people like the new one or are they just getting what they can get?

I love the pizza. Obviously since I was willing to stand on line at least once daily on my recent cruise to get it. I'm not a heavy on the sauce kind of person so to me it's a great balance between toppings and sauce. Two thumbs up for me!

Hate the thin crust pizza, but there are so many other foods that I enjoy so it's all good.

I really enjoyed the new pizza on board. I asked for extra sauce (we get that on our pizza at home). The pizza guy slathered on the sauce no issues.

 

I don't mind waiting for hot, fresh, tasty pizza. Better than lukewarm, limp slices on other lines.

As a New Yorker of Italian heritage, I'll just say that there isn't anything like pizza made in an old fashioned joint in the Bronx or Brooklyn.

 

Just like our bagels, pizza made anywhere else is a poor imitation of the real thing.

I prefer thin, but they always burn it! If they just cooked it without burning it it might be good.

We much prefer the new thin style over the old cardboard plank version a.k.a. pizza.

Considering how much we eat all day, we like the thin crust. Our kids love it. It's not something I must have, however, when on a cruise. The kids eat it probably every day or close to it. It's pretty basic, but good if you are hungry at 3 am!

I like it ok, but my granddaughter and daughter-in-law had it at least once a day.

 

 

I think it's better than what they used to have. I do have to admit that I didn't like the mushroom one even though I always order mushrooms on my pizza at home.

Line is longer as very often one poor guy has to run the entire place by himself.

I don't think I've even had a piece. Maybe, once for the pepperoni. And that's in 153 sea days on Carnival. I frequent the aft pool and really don't even like the smell coming from the "pizza" stand.

 

If it ain't New York pizza, it just ain't.

nope. I was so sad. I was looking forward to the pizza, I didn't know it changed! it didn't seem I could order it anyway I wanted to? they only had set ones. I used to get a pineapple & ham one.

 

It was way too thin, way too little sauce, way too little cheese.

 

It was better than on RCL, which says a lot about how bad RCL's was, but not worth getting.

I love the newer pizza. We brought some friends on a cruise and they really liked it too. We went on a second cruise on The Fantasy, which still had the old stuff, and we could not eat it. Everywhere we saw plate after plate of pizza where people took one or two bites and left it. You rarely see that on the newer ships that have the good pizza.

Love the new pizza and my family does as well, we were always willing to wait for those perfect bites. I like very little sauce so I can actually taste the other components on the pizza.

I really like the new pizza as I prefer a thinner crust. If you're really nice to them, you can special order a pizza the way you like it. On a previous cruise, as we were walking past, the guy manning the pizzeria, who had made our special order the day before, asked if we wanted another. He remembered what we ordered and was very nice. It's all in how they are treated.

It's team new pizza for us! The gorgonzola cheese pizza is something we can't find on land and keeps us returning to Carnival.

Like the new pizza. The old pizza was too thick to be thin and too thin to be thick.
