I was on another cruise line and their drink package included gourmet coffee as well as the drinks. I enjoyed different types of coffee as well as drinks in the evening and by the pool. We always had wine with dinner too. I wish Carnival would include coffee in their package!

Number of Cheers-buying passengers divided by number of non-Cheers-buying passengers.

 

That's not going to get you the percentage of Cheers users. You would need to divide cheers users by total passengers to get the percentage of Cheers users. To find the percentage of non-cheers users, you would divide that number by total passengers.

 

Dividing cheers users by non-cheers users gives you a (part to part) ratio. A percentage is a part to whole ratio.

The servers are certainly more attentive to the "non Cheers" people.

We have not purchased Cheers, Carnival Cruise Lines Drinks Packagefor basically the same reasons.

 

1. Price

2. Aren't likely to drink enough.

3. One of the Days we might want to drink more than 15 drinks each.

4. Servers possibly giving you less attention.

While purchasing Cheers on our last cruise in January, I asked the bartender what percentage of passengers purchase.

 

He told me about 300 per cruise purchase Cheers.

Skittl123 I was just curious as to who gets Cheers and who doesn't. Bob NC taken the amount of people on board that doesn't seem like a lot. This question was really for curiosity. We enjoy the Cheers program because our 1st cruise we were surprised at our bar bill at the end and this way we don't worry about it.

My husband and I are going on the dream for new years eve this year! My first cruise...I have done the numbers on the cheers program and since we are on a 7 day trip it would cost us around 804.00. Looking at the cost of beer 5.69 with tip that is a huge amount of beer for my hubby to drink (a Day) I am a super light drinker and @ 9.00 a drink per say, it would make me drink six or so every day including port days...Which we have three...Since I am a very light drinker the bottomless bubbles program at 6.00 a day is more logical. Might take on two bottles of wine and get a bottle of something on the ship. Free juices and coke products...We just bought a container to carry our whiskey or vocka in:):D:)

My last cruise was with MSC last year. The pkg. was 46.00 per day and they waived the gratuity if you purchased before the sailing. Cost me approx. 635.00. My upcoming Breeze cruise is 8 days and is gonna cost me $920.00. Not sure it worth it.

I wouldn't drink the 15 drinks every day. I may 1 day but then I don't care to drink that much the next day. I wish they would come up with some other beverage packages. MSC offers ticket booklets you can purchase. That worked well for us.

My husband and I bought Cheers a year ago last month on Carnival Liberty. It was when a 7 day cruise was $37.50 per day.

 

I like the fruity drinks, pina colada and mango colada. They were $8 something plus tip. I also like wine with dinner. My husband drank rum and coke. We each averaged 6-8 drinks per day. It was worth it for us then.

 

Last cruise I was in a cabin with my granddaughter so I would have to have bought it for just me as she is a minor. I didn't get it, but did get the "Drinks on us" card from the casino on the 3rd day. I averaged on that cruise 3 drinks per day, so it definitely wouldn't have been worth it for me.

 

I am going on a 10 day cruise next week and I am in a cabin with another family member, so we would both have to buy Cheers. It isn't worth it to either of us to buy Cheers. Even if I don't get the card from the casino, it's doubtful that I would drink $50 daily.

 

I know that it's worth it for many, just not for us.

The math doesn't work for my spouse and I. We drink quite a bit, but we don't spend $100.00 a day on booze. If we managed that, or averaged more than $100 daily for both of us, it would be worth it.

We don't do Cheers. Seven day cruise....four ports days. Really only 2 sea days since the others are half days. No way it would pay for us to use it unless we planned on getting completely drunk in the evenings to justify it. Plus beer is cheap in port. A bon voyage bottle, our bottles of wine, and cheap drinks in port. Nope can't see cheers being a better deal for us.

It's a no brainer, if you like a drink and will have more that. 7 in a 24 hour period then you save money

I drink maybe one or two pints of beer a week at home so four or five drinks per day would be a lot for me, no I would never use the cheers package. Besides six or eights drinks per day I could not drink that on my best day!!!!

My dd, mom and I are sailing 8 night Breeze. I would love to get the package for my dd and I but my mom wont drink enough for it to be worth it. I wish CCL did like RCCL and let others purchase it without having all in cabin have to do so.
