jkallet Posted October 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Family going on NYE NCL BA cruise as a CAS passenger. What are the perks? My DH is a TR Diamond and his host set this up - he qualified for a balcony but we paid the upgrade to the Haven. What does he need to play to qualify for future cruises (he's a craps player, occasionally blackjack). Can you track your points while on board. Thanks in advance for the info! skeeter195 Posted October 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Table players have had a tough time lately on NCL. I was earning a lot of points per cruise, but now only 20-30% of that with the same bets. I am comped mini suites right now and my average week consists of mainly craps and blackjack. I play on average 20 hours per week with about a $350 ave bet.
Jeffffffs Posted October 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Perks for CAS guests: VIP check-in (but you get this for Haven anyway); snacks delivered to room (but you get this in Haven anyway) and free drinks while in casino. If you reach the next point level for a red card during the cruise, they'll give you a comped dinner for 2. At end of cruise they will (depending on play) apply comps to room charges...but they seem to be getting stingier about this. There is no way to track points as a table player, and as skeeter mentioned, it seems that it's harder to earn points on the tables. As far as qualifying for future cruises, it's hard to say, but you can definitely do it with a much smaller avg. bet than skeeter's.

What does he need to play to qualify for future cruises (he's a craps player, occasionally blackjack). Can you track your points while on board. CAS told me that to qualify for free Inside cabin with them, you needed to have 2000 to 2900 average or theoretical loss per cruise. For Oceanview, 2900 to 3500 and for balcony over 3500. Not sure how they track you for tables but perhaps someone else can answer. I'm SevenStar with TR and we cruise 4 or 5 times a year in balconies using certificates from CET. I play video poker, but play much lighter on the ships as pay tables aren't at all good....but still fun to play some:rolleyes: I finally got an offer directly from CAS for an inside cabin that was for select ships and during a specific time period that had a lot of vacancies. (Upgraded to top level Oceanview for 90 each.) MUCH easier for me to keep getting my cruises from CET!
CalLuvsCrusingToo Posted October 11, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2015 I agree with you Sand&Seas.......... I DO get occ free cruises per CAS. Usually for select dates, VS. more dates to choose from thru CE. And I get many more free Cruise voucher offers thru CE (Caesars Ent./Harrahs props). earlbird Posted October 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2015 Definitely agree. Our last two cruises were comped, but on our upcoming cruise they offered us 20% off. I played the same amount at the tables (probably more) and was offered less. My cruise consultant at Casinos at Sea indicated, "You won during the last cruise, so this is factored in." spidybabe Posted October 14, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 14, 2015 We don't wait for land based cruise certificates(although we have used many). We pick a cruise we are interested in, and call CAS to see what we can be comped, usually a OV or better. Agree, it has been much harder to earn points at the tables lately. Always ask the pit boss what they have you down for. Safe sailing
