thistledoo Posted November 13, 2015 #126 Share Posted November 13, 2015 That's the Spirit of Tasmania at the pier with the Diamond. It turned out to be a nice sunny day in Melbourne, although very windy and very cold (for us Queenslanders)! Could be a bit lumpy going out of the heads this evening

Rainfall can reach 250 mm (10 in) during a span of 24 hours.

Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted November 16, 2015 #138 Share Posted November 16, 2015 It can look amazing. When we drove into Milford Sound some years ago it was raining very heavily. Because the hilltops were swathed in low cloud it looked like there were waterfalls coming straight out of the clouds. Pure magic! We did an overnight trip on the sound and next morning woke up to blue skies, lots of waterfalls, and amazing views. Couldn't ask for better than that. :)

It doesn't take much for them to cancel Akaroa but Force 12? As you know, we missed a couple of Ports in the Pacific immediately before your cruise. The Diamond isn't having a good run with weather and we are back on her in a few weeks for NZ so I hope the weather improves for all our sakes. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
