The collection of black and white snaps detail the historic construction, launch and fitting out of the famous ocean liner that became a byword for luxury and glamour on the prestigious route from Southampton to New York. The album of 57 photographs were taken by Stewart Bale, a prominent photographer at the time, and capture the sheer opulence of the liner in its glorious heyday. A unique photo album, documenting the birth of the famed RMS Queen Mary ship has now come to light 80 years after its launch.
