We don't sail until January 2, 2016 and have already made final payment. Do we receive an e-mail about when to do online check in? Do we HAVE to wait until 3 days before or, could we do it now? What are the pros and cons to just doing it now?

You can complete your online check-in as soon as you like.

 

I always try to do ours as early as possible, it just puts me into that crusin' mood! :D

You can complete your on-line check in and print off your SetSail Pass since you have made final payment. You have up until 3 days prior to departure to print it off.

The big pro is that doing it while you're thinking about it and know you have internet access means it's done. No chance of you forgetting or having internet and/or computer/printer issues at the three-day mark.
