FLL Runway Fire

Take note for anyone traveling in to or out of FLL today:

As of roughly 2.5 hours later:

Departing flights backed up about an hour.

Arrivals starting to catch up but still a couple for late afternoon listed as diverting to MIA. Seems that most flights that diverted earlier have hopped back to FLL.

But hopefully no one sailing this afternoon was scheduled to fly in this late in the first place.

Well that's a new one for delaying flights.

Since its a Wed, should not be too many ships going out. However, this is another good reason never to fly in the day of the cruise.
