Explain to me how suite disembarkation works on Freedom of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Can't speak for Freedom, but for Rhapsody we met the Concierge and she escorted us down to the luggage area at an early time, prior (I think) to the first time for those with luggage. We met her at 6:45 and were in our cab at 7:05. This was in Rome and it appeared a large number of passengers were using the Luggage Valet so there wasn't that much luggage to sift through. When we got to the luggage area, our luggage was right there easily spotted. Since we were the first off, there were plenty of porters, and Rome customs was non existent. So that, of course, factored in.

When you get on board, talk to the concierge and see what they are doing. If you are doing "self debarkation" it may not make any difference. Also if you are sending luggage down, make sure you get a number 1 or 2 or so. As a suite guest you can get early debarkation. If the tags come with a high number, go to the Concierge. We had number 1 and needed a couple of more tags so I asked the Concierge and she had the tags with her. Always the best place to start is the Concierge.

When we sailed we all were invited to a "suite" breakfast in a side room off the MDR, it was Buffet style but was very complete from eggs and meat to doughnuts and fruit.

When the time came the CL lead the way thru the crowds to either luggage pickup or to customs.

Enjoy.

Very speedy, the only way to go.

We were recently on the Liberty and we met in the CL. The concierge escorted us to a private elevator and to the suite/pinnacle luggage area. It went very smooth. We were off the ship and through customs in 15 minutes. Just check with the concierge the day before.

When we got off freedom a couple of weeks ago everyone met in vintages wine bar. There was a light Belfast and coffee. They did not take us off early. Our friends that were not in a suite actually beat us off the ship. As a matter of fact lots of people were let off before we were
