Celebrity Reflection Questions....Sold out?

We are booked on Celebrity Reflection on January 2. The website shows the cruise being completely sold out. This surprises me as we are still over two months away from sailing. Just a couple weeks ago there were a ton of rooms left so I'm really surprised. Is that typical for an early January cruise? I feel worried about crowding. Should I prebook our select dining times before going? Any other tips? This will be my first cruise in about 5 years and my husband's first ever.

The only time we have felt that service is comprised is embarkation day at lunch time ( before the rooms are ready) and on sea days in the Ocean view cafe. We like to eat in MDR at breakfast time, it's more civilised.

When we have been on Select Dining, I have pre booked.

We have cruised numerous times with sold out cruises and have not felt crowded. The S Class ships are very spacious. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the cruise. The only problem areas might be select dining if you go at 7:00 and seats in the shade near the pool on sea days.

Have a great cruise!

We did a cruise on the Solstice from Sydney to Honolulu that was sold out six months before the cruise. After final payment date many cabins opened up due to cancellations. However they were quickly sold and at 60 days until the cruise left there were no cabins available. The only place that got overcrowded was around the pool area when they scheduled entertainment there. We ate in Blu every night and felt no need to pay for an extremely overpriced specialty restaurant.

Hello Salerno's,

Cruise ships rarely sail without being completely sold out. The best pricing tends to be 9-12 months out. Then the price will be adjusted up or down over the next 4-5 months depending on demand. Just before the cruise sails any unsold cabins are heavily discounted or offered to the travel industry.

Yes, you should book your dining times or choose Select. If you want early dining, you may find it sold out already.

Cruise ships are designed to sail full and have lots of entertainment options for all. The Reflection has an outstanding adult / quiet area where, last January, I never had a problem getting a lounger or hammock.

You will love this ship. Just relax and show up!

Best Wishes,

HTP
