Do Princess elite need a tender ticket?

Recommended Posts

No, never seen tender tickets left in my room. In my experience, on the cruises where I have been Elite you go down to where they are doing the tenders i.e main dinning room and tell them your Elite. They let you go at the next available tender before other people or straight away if they haven't filled up the current tender.

Thanks for that Sarah :) I've never seen tender passes/tickets left in the cabin either...maybe that's done for suite guests.

Anna they stopped giving tickets out quite a few years now and if you want to go early you wait on deck 5 near the lifts and the staff member will want to see your black card and you will go on the next available tender

It's been a few years since I was at a tender port, so can someone help re any recent experience regarding this. I've read that special tender passes are left in your cabin by the steward...is that true?

Thanks and Cheers,

Anna

They used to do that. They printed special tender tickets for Elite, but then realised that all they needed to do is show the black card. Works much better and easier.

Just returned from Golden Princess cruise. They set up the Crown Grill as an Elite meeting point for the tenders. The guy in radio contact with the tenders sent the waiting people to the tender when it was OK. Never had to wait, we were sent down straight away upon arrival.

we did a cruise around australia and for our tender port at Lombok elites had to meet in Jammers night club and get escorted to the tender area but that wouldnt happen often only if there's a lot of elites onboard

As Bob says they will adjust it for each cruise. If there are a lot of Elites I guess you will be despatched in small groups. We have been on cruises where there have been very Elites and we could just wander down at will. Once the rush is over of course its a very relaxed operation.

Another thing to remember with tendering , is that the last ones on , are the first ones off...:D:D

On the Diamond a couple of weeks ago, we got tender tickets for being in a suite but not for Elite. The crew keep an eye out and just escorted Suite and Elite down the other side of the stairs.

On Royal, we used to have to meet in either the Concierge or Diamond Lounge and then be escorted down in a group but now it is purely by card, whether you are in a suite or Diamond Plus or Diamond - just show your card.

Cheers

Di
