Need help with parking ideas !!

We are driving to Miami for the Journey Cruise on the Glory departing Jan 23, 2016. The cruise ends in San Juan and we will be flying back into FLL. Should we park in Miami and then get transportation back there after we land in FLL, or should we park in FLL and get transportation to Miami the day we cruise? Hope this is not too confusing.

We like to park at the port, but not sure that is the best option for this particular cruise. Ideally, we would like to park at the Miami port and then get a cab back there to get our car, but not sure if this would work? Sorry for rambling !!!

My choice would be to leave the vechile in FLL and grab a limo to the port. I would rather get the traveling out of the way. Hop off plane at FLL then a short ride to your vehicle. We are also on the Glory with you. We are driving from north of Orlando to MCO, leaving our vehicle at a hotel just north of the airport, and flying down to Miami.. From SJU we are flying back to MCO so we wont have the long drive.

Yes your plan will work. But it is the most expensive possible plan. Parking at PortMiami is $20/day and a taxi from FLL to PortMiami will be $80-90.

I'm guessing you chose to fly back SJU-FLL rather than SJU-MIA because the flight was less expensive. But you now see that was penny wise and pound foolish: would be much easier and cheaper to be able to just park at the long-term lot at MIA, take a shuttle to the port, and then have your car right there after your flight back.

So presuming you can't change flights (from your budget carrier with change fees higher than the price of the ticket, plus they don't fly to MIA in the first place) it might work better to park at long-term parking at FLL and then arrange a private shuttle to meet you at the terminal to take you to Miami. Assuming you arrive early enough the morning of your cruise--this depends on how long your drive into Florida is (where are your coming from? Are you staying at a hotel somewhere the night before?)

Leave the car at or near FLL - easy to get a $15 per person shuttle from FLL to POM and as mentioned above parking at FLL is much cheaper than parking in Miami.

The shuttle ride from FLL to POM takes about 45+ minutes - check with QLS, SAS, MJS & Go Airport shuttle. If you have 3-4 travelling together a taxi from FLL will run about $75 on the meter.
