new_cruiser_22 Posted November 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2015 I have been reading this forum and found these beaches were mentioned by many. A google search only show Governor's beach, but not Sea Grape beach. Also, is "Public Beach" a specific beach, or all these beaches are "Public" - the name is sort of confusing to me. We will be on the island in 2 weeks with a cruise ship for about 7 hours and would like to spend some time on Seven Mile Beach. The plan is to take a bus or taxi to get to a beach at the northern part of the SMB and walk back toward the port and may get into the water at some points and enjoy the views. I am wondering which beach we should get to, is the Sea Grape beach further north of the Governor's beach or opposite? Or any other suggested point of beach we should be dropped off? Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
bookbabe Posted November 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) All of those beaches are part of Seven Mile Beach. Sea Grape and Governors Beach are on either side of Public Beach. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=46730206 Edited November 4, 2015 by bookbabe
LREcruise02 Posted November 5, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2015 We love sea grape. Just grab a taxi and ask them to take you there. There are taxis readily available to take you back when you would like.
cb at sea Posted November 5, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2015 ALL of the beaches are open to anyone....the different names are simply access points. Take the bus...get off at Seagrape...restrooms, food/drink, watersport rentals, loungers and umbrella rentals.....
