Believe me, you didn't miss much.

 

To me the announcement was "we have a modified HAL logo and some software to show destinations and help pick excursions."

They supposedly have a new logo that they might start using some day. They think they have some cool new software but it doesn't do anything yet except send you to the Adriatic for your Alaska cruise. And they Care About You And Will Serve You Better With More Capitalized Platitudes, which amount to almost exactly nothing.

 

The biggest thing was the breathless announcement of the bold, new, earth shattering, unprecedented ... something. It got progressively less impressive. especially as the Amazing Announcement Event was a bit of a disaster.

 

You didn't miss anything. Maybe some marketing interns got a little carried away.

Also a partnership with BBC World. It isn't clear what that entails. I suspect it gives HAL access to BBC's library of nature videos to show on the wonderful new high-tech screens in the showrooms.

I just found the big announcement, sounds like a lot of nothing to me. Just my opinion, maybe others are more excited about it.

Go the the HAL website. There's a link to the video of the presentation, as well as descriptions of the exciting new initiatives. ;)
