Darn, you beat me to it. I think Mr. John knows not what he speaks.

I am also looking forward to hearing his answer on the room service fee. Only because I love to have breakfast in our room on the balcony.

There is a lot of good info on here but also a lot of negativity. I understand things can change but other then the room service fee for me it looks like I am getting what I paid for.

The only decision I have to make is to do a 3 day SDP...which after reading what LrgPizza wrote we will probably book that.

I am really excited to go on this trip and we are going to have a good time. If I don't get a cheeseburger in Paradise I will find one somewhere else on the ship or get one when I get home. There is going to be a ton of food, like always, great people, hopefully a lot of sun and I don't have to cook on Thanksgiving. Whoo Hoo!

For those of you on 11/21 Thanksgiving cruise...I hope to meet you at the Meet and Greet. For those of you going at other times I hope you have the best vacation ever!! :D

I agree with you NLH Arizona. We can get a cheeseburger anytime, anywhere. My own are probably better anyway. Just going on a cruise for a good time not a long time and if I do not get a free cheeseburger, Oh well, I am sure I can still gain lbs eating elsewhere.[emoji6]

I think I've mentioned this before, but people should be cognizant that the person on the phone with you, selling you your cruise, is at the very bottom end of the informational chain as far as what's actually happening on the ship and what decisions are being made at the top. They may work for the company but they will probably be the last to know about a shipboard change, often after it's been reported by people onboard here at CC.

They're customer service reps; they're going to tell you whatever will make you happy and make you keep buying cruises from them. No offense intended to call-center workers; I started out as one out of high school. (I don't know if they even work in call centers any more, I think a lot of CSRs work from home these days.)

If that's the case, I understand why people make fun of their ignorance. Just saying they don't know, or they haven't been informed of that change is, telling the truth. I may believe what they say the next time I ask. As it is, I don't even bother to ask them questions anymore. They're bound to tell me lie, just to sell me something. So basically they're worthless. At least you get, OBC if you go through a travel agent.

On Escape we went to Margaritaville for breakfast ....missing avocado salsa etc etc etc nothing like the description ...eggs were runny ..no fruit plate

I certainly would not pay for this ..they ran out of everything with no one going there cause it was so cold on Transat .I.msure it will improve in Caribbean ..but I would not pay for it ....

Terrible logic for accepting something that was included when you booked being taken away.

When I had the yummy avocados early in the cruise, I commented to my husband that I wondered how they'd keep these fresh for that long of a trip. By the last few days they were out, and I was grateful.

I think the whole Margaritaville deal is really funny. First of all, the food isn't fantastic, unless it's better than the ones on land. The land venues are way over priced. We've got one in our local casino that's about to go under. Average food for unreasonable costs. You're paying for the parrot head thing. No one goes there, onw that the novelty has worn off. So, I'm thinking this is just the newness of the venue on the ship.

Hopefully, the food hasn't got so bad, elsewhere on the ship, that people are willing to pay to get a burger and fries. As for conch fritters, that what the Fish Fry on Nassau is for, use your $5 to eat there. I assure you, it will be better. Uptown Grill on the Breakaway has one the best burgers I've ever eaten. They won't start charging for that, since it's not Jimmy Buffet.

I will see if I have any better luck asking the question about any locations becoming exempt from UBP. Jose C is usually open to discussion. We'll see.

But . . . I can say firsthand that I really don't care what they choose to do with Margaritaville, as that is one goobered-up hot mess. Sheesh!!

2:50 today there is an announced wait time of "at least 90 minutes" yet about 40% of all tables (not including those across the jog track) are completely empty. Everyone approaching the podium is asking the same questions repeatedly. Why a wait if so many open tables? Why are you not paging those who have the devices to come now?

I asked how many paging devices are currently issued for waiting, and was told it was none of my business.

Another guest asked if they could even operate at full capacity, and she got scolded as well. "We determine our policy. Not the passengers."

Well now . . .

These cheeseburgers are definitely not being served in Paradise.

.

YIKES - there is some fantastic customer service there....NOT!

No, and I didn't pursue higher up.

After the initial burning 'ouch', I realized she was actually correct . . . it truly wasn't my business to know/ask.

I left and went somewhere else. There are SO many options to choose from..

I think that's the "silver lining" in all of this. There ARE many other great options!

Thanks Don for the effort!

That actually one of my favorite things about NCL - so many different options to eat when your 1st choice is too crowded and/or having an off-day in food/service.[emoji4]

How far away is your second choice and how crowded will it be when you get there. Then how far away is your third choice?

Never mind actually responding, I'm sure it will be OK.

3 minute walk from the Manhattan Room which is aft to the Taste Restaurant and Savor Restaurants which are mid-ship. And 2 minutes up the stairs to O'Sheahans Restaurant or up the elevator to the Garden Cafe Buffet.
