sueart46 Posted November 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2015 I had an experience with RCL which needs to be conveyed to all cruisers who require bathroom grab bars on a specific side of toilets. In January 2015 my husband & I cruised on the Explorer of the Seas. When the room was reserved, we relied on information provided on RCL's website as to which side of the toilet the grab bars were. When we arrived on the ship, we discovered that the information on the website was incorrect. I notified Guest Relations and asked that the error be forwarded to Corporate Headquarters and be corrected. After we got home from the cruise, my travel agent sent an email to RCL explaining the problem and asking that the website be corrected. No reply was received, but it made sense to me that someone would verify the information and correct the errors. I recently returned from a cruise on the Freedom of the Seas. Again the information on the website was incorrect. Again I notified Guest Relations and again requested that Corporate Headquarters be notified. Subsequently, I went on the RCL website to see if the information regarding the Explorer of the Seas room had been corrected. It has been 8 months since they were originally notified by myself and my travel agent and the wrong information is still being provided to disabled cruisers. I have tried to obtain the name and email address or fax number of someone at RCL Corporate headquarters who I can communicate with directly. CAN ANYONE PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION? Thanks. Some cabins are correct. RCL needs to have crew members survey each wheelchair accessible room and get the correct information. I would like to know why it wasn't done 8 months ago. They should, at least, have info on the HC cabins, as it does affect those who can only use one side of their bodies......but don't hold your breath waiting for a change. Maybe no one at RCL cares enough. Please pardon my completely off topic post but I see that you stayed in 7620 on Freedom. Would you happen to have taken cabin photos and be willing to share them? I have searched everywhere and found similar cabins but not THIS cabin. We are cruising in this cabin on Halloween this year and I am dying to see photos!
