LIVE From the Serenade of the Seas with Trainman-2 & Judith

I am actually posting from our room in the Embassy Suites on 17th St in Fort Lauderdale. Tomorrow morning we will board the Serenade for a 10 Night Southern Caribbean adventure.

We were both sad to leave Booty, Judith's Service Dog, behind in her favorite kennel this morning. Booty was sad to see us go.

 

I will assume Booty's duties helping Judith until we get back home.

Can't wait to follow along with you and Judith! We are doing this one Dec 2016! Poor Booty, sad that he isn't going since he is actually a TRUE service dog and not like those silly Yorkies, Poms etc that people pass off as service dogs! Have a wonderful time!!!

The drive down took about 4 1/2 hours but was tiring. One stop for gas and two more for potty breaks.

 

Neither of us got a nap today and we were both tired so we had dinner in the Hotel Restaurant.

 

Judith had the "Beach Boy" salad which was really good.

 

 

I had the seafood chowder and a bacon cheese burger which were excellent.

 

 

 

Although the food was good, it was "pricey!"

We should be on board by noon tomorrow so start looking for real "Live Posts" in the afternoon or evening.

 

 

Reports from friends on the Serenade now are that the internet up link is slow!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in August. Maybe we never looked out our window; don't know if we had the "deluxe" balcony or not.

We're on the 11 night sailing right after you, so I will follow along to help pass the time before we go and learn some more about Serenade of the Seas!
