Rare Scrapnana Posted November 14, 2015 #26 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Sounded like the people in 7718 were stuck in their cabin. Doesn't sound possible - I must have misheard it.

dfish Posted November 14, 2015 #33 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Wow, it really looks nasty in Ft. Lauderdale. Port schedule now shows 1345 for departure of the Westerdam. Debbie
Rare rafinmd Posted November 14, 2015 #34 Share Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) As bad as it is in FTL, it looks even worse in Miami. I was looking for the Crystal Symphony but all I see is gray. I don't think the webcam is down but it might as well be. Oops, I think maybe the Miami camera is down. It doesn't look nearly as bad on the ship's webcams. Rare Scrapnana Posted November 14, 2015 #36 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Listening to them have a drill made me think about the way HAL handles them. Other than HAL, has anyone been on a line that makes you return to your stateroom at the start and remain there until the signal sounds?

Other than HAL, has anyone been on a line that makes you return to your stateroom at the start and remain there until the signal sounds? Checking in. On two cruises in the past year it seemed to me that hardly anyone actually did that. There were lots of people on the promenade deck before the first signal, and I am sure they just stayed there. And people were heading down the corridors and stairs long before the signal to go to the lifeboat station.

Rare Scrapnana Posted November 14, 2015 #50 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Checking in. On two cruises in the past year it seemed to me that hardly anyone actually did that. There were lots of people on the promenade deck before the first signal, and I am sure they just stayed there. And people were heading down the corridors and stairs long before the signal to go to the lifeboat station. I have to say I was on the Promenade deck before the announcement started. Since I walk slowly and can't do many stairs, I usually find my station early and wait. However, when they said return to your cabins, I did (guess I am too much of a rule-follower). Seems to be more than usual missing today. Maybe they thought they did not need to go out on deck since the weather was bad.:D
