vanessa5076 Posted November 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Hi I am torn between decks 7 or 8 e2 or e3 balcony cabins. Are both obstructed by the lifeboats? Any advice appreciated

vanessa5076 Posted November 14, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Sorry, thought I had put it in. It's Brilliance of the Seas we are considering Thanks
Clarea Posted November 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Not all E2/E3 staterooms on decks 7 and 8 have their view downward obstructed by the lifeboats. If you look at the deck plans, many staterooms have no obstructed view, and there seems to be fewer obstructed staterooms on deck 8 than on deck 7. vanessa5076 Posted November 14, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted November 14, 2015 Just double checked and all except 1 they have offered is obstructed :( Do any of you know what cabin 1000 is like? It's directly behind the bridge.
sellwingri Posted November 14, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 14, 2015 I would choose a balcony cabin on 8. Most of those on 7 look out to a cement overhang that obstructs your ability to look down to the water. However, you will still have a view looking out. jennywren46 Posted November 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 14, 2015 weve been on Brilliance twice and both times had 7658 its an obstructed view BUT its got a much bigger balcony if you look on the deck plan youll see all the cabins in that block above the club (we never heard any noise) .The obstruction is the top of the lifeboats but its no problem it just means you cant look directly down into the water. Ill put a couple of pictures on for you .

robtulipe Posted November 15, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) Here are a few shots of the lifeboat cover that blocks the downward view of the mid-ship, non-hump deck 7 and 8 balconies on Radiance class ships. The third shot is a rearward one taken from a one of the large forward deck 7 balconies, #7038, that has no view obstruction unlike the large rearward deck 7 balcony view (linked to from the post above) in the last shot that has it downward view blocked by the roof of the Colony Club lounge and Bombay Billiard room below. cb at sea Posted November 15, 2015 #12 Share Posted November 15, 2015 The lifeboats on Radiance class are below ALL side balconies....you'll see them from every deck.
