Ok my Wife thinks I'm a little crazy cause since I booked Our cruise for March 2016 I've become Obsessed with Everythng about the cruise

First started with finding and making the airline and hotel reservations

Then of course I start my Reading and Reading and Reading everything and anything I can about the ship were sailing on, ports, casino etc

Were on a Premier Casino special so of course I read every post going back I could find lol 😳

Then it was on to members past reviews first about the same Itinerary were doing and then once those were done on to other ports as long as it was still the Conquest

I'm literally running out of reviews to read so now started reading random posts and reviews 🙈😜😆. This is when my wife said today. Jeezz Hun you've been on that cruise critic site for 5 hours now 😜😳 that was a hour ago and I'm still on lol

Oh and I forgot researching the ports over n over

So is it just me or are there others out there as well who Can't Wait for the cruise date to get here and research n read stuff over n over

Oh and of course my Roll Call only has a few people on it and I can hear crickets and see tumble weeds when I log on at least 5 times a day to see if there's any new chat 🙈

It's ok were all friends here feel free to share your cruise obsessions as well

😆😆😆😃😃👍🍹🍹

I'm in the same , haha. I usually talk to my friends about it and then plan out my packing lists or do some budgeting and figure out how much I can spend. Occasionally, I watch YouTube videos about cruises or maybe look at menus for the cruise. I've looked up places to eat in the departure port and hotels and googlemapped everything. Lol.

Also, I have a coworker that adores talking about cruising so we talk a little everyday.

Either way, I'm pumped!

Yup I've watched multiple Youtube vids too and researched places to eat on the ship plus pré cruise and post cruise lol

And I also tell anyone of my friends who will listen all about it

I did get my one friend n his wife to cruise with us few years back because I told them so much about cruising they gave it a try

They loved it but don't have the time off that we do

Just so you know you're not alone. I thought you were describing me as I read your post. I think you'll find their are many people here that do the same thing. Planning a cruise is at least half the fun.

My husband said to tell you he has great sympathy for your wife, as you still have 119 days til you sail.

Have an awesome cruise!

It seem the closer the cruise gets, the more intense the research becomes. I'm 8, er...well in 2 hours it'll be 7 days out from a back-to-back-to-back on Carnival Freedom. Our Cruise Critic Roll Calls aren't very busy, but there are 6 FB Groups between the 3 weeks and that keeps me pretty busy. Each week has 3 or 4 events, a meet, a slot pull, a cabin crawl, etc. Busy, busy, busy.

But wait, I can't forget about the back-to-back on Oasis OTS in Feb or the Carnival Breeze next November. Way out there is the Harmony OTS in Feb 2017. I try to concentrate on one at a time, but I still need to keep track of the Carnival and RCCL general forums. Oh, and I try to read the Ask a Cruise Question and First Timers forums and answer a few questions if I can.

I consider how much time I spend here and look at my post count. A few hundred. How the H-E-doubble toothpicks do people get 10-thousand, 20-thousand or more posts. They must LIVE on line.

After I've booked the hotels and rental cars for some ports, I still go back to those web sites and price them out at least once a week. I've been able to reduce costs every time! And I do price out my booked cruises once a day looking for price drops. I am always researching, looking, google mapping, looking at pictures, reading reviews... OMG - I have been obsessed like this for years! And oh - I have subscriptions to Porthole and Cruise Travel, too! I spend hours and hours and hours on Cruise Critic... I just can't stop until I am about to go to the airport!

B2B cruise booked April 2016

Air booked

Pre cruise hotel booked

Gift card to buy dinner Friday night bought

All excursions planned and paid for

Post excursion booked

Countless hours on carnival, cruise critic, Google, etc etc etc

My husband thinks I'm nuts. Wish I could book more and more cruises like some of you but air from Oregon is a lot.

I'm the same way. Bye bye facebook, hello cc! I had to cancel my Feb 1 cruise and now have the Dream booked Sept 18. Ugh! Now 300 days away. I still keep trying to figure a way to squeeze one back in. But, every time I do a mock booking it's still the same price! (And sneaking up)

I'm itching to start booking 2017.

Hi My Name is Andrea, and Im an Obsessive COmpulsive Vacation Planner also.. welcome to the cult LOL.

Ha my hubby says the same thing to me at times. I try and limit my time to just the weekends but the impulse is strong LOL

Oh and of course my Roll Call only has a few people on it and I can hear crickets and see tumble weeds when I log on at least 5 times a day to see if there's any new chat 🙈

Your not alone, there are many of us. I find its nice to talk with others and read everything cuz after a while my hubby and kids get annoyed with my constant vacation talk. I dont understand how people dont want to talk about vacationing more LOL. Call me crazy!

The roll calls usually get a bit more active closer to sailing. Especially if you have to endure a holiday prior. There are others that are more active but were not allowed to talk about them on here ...just saying

Also a reviewer that I follow here (GAPearl) gave me a great idea, search Instagram or Twitter by the islands you are going to by the hashtag... such as #stkitts or #Grandturk, maybe by your excursion name, heck even #carnivalcruise or your ship name LOL I have started doing that. Then you get post and pictures from people that have been there done that.

Maybe make your check list now? So you have time to add or delete things before your cruise is days away.

Look for another cruise you want to go on after, then once you get on board you can see what they can offer you then to book.

You are all my brothers and sisters!!!! I am online at least twice a day checking not only CC, but following the ships on Live Ships Maps and other cruise ship tracking sites. I'm checking all the ships that are "regulars" in the area of the cruises that I will go on. Ours is the Conquest too, over NYE this year. 35 days to go and I'm watching what other ships are in port with ours, checking posts, trying to memorize deck plans so I can explore everything fast, and hitting as many YouTubes as possible. I'll get a list of 10 drinks on my "bucket list" and try to decide if I'll be on top of the ship for sail away or on my balcony. Can't get enough of it!!!!

LOL! I could not stop laughing as I read through these posts. They all describe me...especially now that my cruise is a mere 22 days away. I'm constantly reading and checking for ANYTHING. And everything I read only excites me more. Like you, I thought I was the only one so obsessed, but I'm glad to see I'm not alone. :D This is only my second cruise, but I'm certain there will be plenty others down the road.

Okay, so my rollcalls are not really active at all, so I've even checked my local craigslist board for people who might be on the same cruise... :D

Happy cruising!

It seems many of us are infected with the contagious ENTHUSIASM! LOL I do this also! I love to research things..then I KNOW things others in the fam don't know! They pretty much leave me alone lol... :D I love to revisit ports and I always find something new and that's because of researching things to death! I love having that trip to look forward to and want to get the most out of it.

My ex always said I research thing to death. Not as much with my upcoming cruises (1 week...yay!) since I've been on the ship before. But, yep, I've spent countless hours since I booked my first cruise a few years ago, reading and researching, and looking at deck plans and deck cams. It's part of the fun for me!

I am so happy I'm not alone. I thought it was just me. My husband thinks I'm nuts. I'm even texting him pictures that I find while he is at work. He wants to be surprised when he gets on the boat. I will be too. Nothing beats real life. But in the mean time, I'm getting updates on my phone. Subscribing to the ones I want to keep reading about. I even look at pictures of other boats just in case we decide to go on another ship. We are leaving on our fourth cruise this January and I can't wait. I'm so bad, I even pay attention to the sales at the clothing stores. So we can get our "cruise cloths" at a good price. Love it when they mark their summer cloths down to a few dollars to make room for their winter cloths.

In 2010 we stepped aboard the Legend for our first cruise.

DH and I were in that moment both enthralled and overcome with desire to cruise, cruise, cruise.

From that moment, I have been OBSESSED with cruises & planning them.

In all honesty, I am obsessed with travel planning in general, land vacations, annual motorcycle tours, etc....

But it is cruising planning that is my true love...LOL

So glad I'm not alone and many others understand.

My name is xxxx and I am a Cruiseaholic :D
