Deck Plan Question

Anywhere the crew can go that the general public cannot go.

Some could be crew sleeping areas too. I believe, many of the room stewards sleep on the floors that they work on.

One cruise our cabin backed onto the grey areas in question, and every night there was loud music coming from the other side of the wall. It was either a cabin, or a workspace...but it was super loud.

In that location on that Deck, it is probably the Galley

No galleys anywhere near there. If you're talking about the largest area, aft, that is mainly the engine room space going up to the funnels, and the A/C space for the lounges below and the cabins above.

We're going to be near the forward "I-shaped" section. Hopefully it's nothing too noisy. :)

I suspect that will be a combination of forward A/C room, and the mechanical room (lighting, etc.) for the show lounge below. You may have some noise during the shows, but not late at night.

I think on some ships it must be long uncarpeted hallways for movement of equipment, supplies and personnel...we've had interior cabins before, with the head of the bed on that interior wall, and we've been unable to sleep due to the constant traffic back and forth behind the wall...sounded like metal wheels on metal floors, and footsteps. Sometimes voices. Back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth.

I can't speak to all decks, but I do know for sure that there are crew rooms on deck 6. I was on a sister ship to Glory, and one of the members of the band was riding in the elevator with me after they were done for the night, and they got off on deck 6 to go to their room. On another ship, on a higher deck, a crew person came out of that grey area & got on the elevator with me. When she realized she forgot her name tag in her room, she quickly hit the button for the next floor, so that she can go back and get it, as they have to wear their name tags. So, there are plenty of crew rooms in those blank spaces. Their rooms are smaller than ours. They are required to not make much noise in there.

A bigger issue with deck 6 will be with what is below. Deck 5 has some noisy spots that run late or a little late (the dance club, karoke, the comedy club, the theater, the band that plays by the casino).

We're right above the main show area. We plan to be out of our room enjoying the evening life until about 11pm or so, that way we won't be bothered by any noise because we'll be part of it!

I've got my fingers crossed it's crew cabins or something else quiet. We've always had inside cabins in the past and never had a problem so I'm hoping we have good luck this time as well. :)

Thank you for all the helpful responses!
