We never once used Room Serv.

It was too easy to take elevator up to 17 & get anything we wanted from Garden Cafe. Sometimes took the stairs.....Trying to Not gain on cruise.

Almost made it. :)

Just walked out with alittle food & coffee cup, And didn't have to wait........ or pay.....

But I agree with whoever said put some yogurts in your room refrig.

Thats easy to do too.

I enjoyed in room coffee. Used bottle water from casino. Never paid

for drinks with the drink card from casino...... just tipped.

I became Bottle Water Hoarder. lol

Point being...... you really don't need Room Serv. IMO

You asked about Escape casino being tight too?

I would Agree with that statement.

I've been lucky on almost Every ship I've been on. Usually right away.

Not on Escape. Maybe the cruise week before, cleaned em out? lol

Everyone around was complaining how Tight the casino (machines) were.

I play VP, but slots were complaining too. And this is a much bigger casino than alot of ships. So Somebody should have been hitting......

By the last night, I finally figured out that the ONLY game to play on VP, was single line dollars. Nothing else seemed to hit.

Got W2G the last night, but nada up until then.

And believe me.......... I tried.:p

Is that an old breakfast room service menu card or maybe it is one for suites??

When the service charge went effect the complementary room service card for inside, ov, and balcony cabins has no fruit, no cereal, no yogurt.

I just got off the Escape on Saturday the 28th and we had a balcony. The menu he posted was the same as we had. I ordered fruit, cereal, juice and rolls for my husband and I and we were not charged as it is listed on the first page as a continental breakfast.

To whom would they complain? That's funny.

I love to gamble, pretty much playing slots. I visit casinos in my home state regularly, and hit Vegas at least once a year. I generally don't play slots on any ship because I find the machines are always way too tight, so if people feel this is the case on Escape, it wouldn't surprise me.

That said, there was a machine on Escape that my husband and I jokingly called "the cash machine" on the TA cruise. It appeared no one except us ever played it. We would walk past, slip a $20 in, cash out a couple minutes later after only 5 - 10 spins for between $50 and $150 bucks, then go on our merry way. We did this over and over again the entire cruise. We turned that single $20 into several hundred dollars in just this one machine, over the course of 10 days, while only playing slots a total of about 45 minutes. It was very funny. Any time we were going to O'Sheehan's, the theater, etc. we always said, "Hang on a sec while I hit the cash machine first."

LOL, I love this story, awesome!

The complementary room service menu was posted by EKroller on flicker - yogurt is on the menu. Hope the link below works; if not he has posted a review with photo, menu and dailies links.

Enjoy your cruise

Room Service Menu

I'm wondering what the date is that this menu was posted? I believe this is an old menu since it shows yogurt and cereal's and fruit. Maybe they have updated the menu?

Hi Harriet,

I just posted above that this is the menu unless it changed this week. I was on last week and fruit and cereal rolls etc were offered because I ordered them with no charge.

Thank you I'm happy about that for the many many people who do like to enjoy breakfast in their cabin. I'm glad to see they went back to the old breakfast complimentary menu

We do enjoy having breakfast in the cabin...or I should say on the balcony. This time we only did it once. I wanted oatmeal and some eggs benedict so went to the Buffet which was pretty good.

Of course for many people the point is when one is on vacation one likes to be pampered and to enjoy things they don't normally get to enjoy during their regular days. Yes, one can go up to the buffet and bring things back to the cabin but that's not quite the same and of course one can just put the money in the budget to pay for room service but that's not quite the same, either.

If the friend otdered coffee and yogurt, yes they would have been charged the $7.95 room service fee because yogurt is not part of the complementary continental breakfast. If you want free, you can only order what is on the card, no add ons.

For free can have coffee/tea/juice, pastries/muffin. That's it. No fruit or yogurt, no toast either.

It's a continental breakfast, similar to what is offered in some European hotels.

If you want something else added, there will be a service charge.

It's also good to get up in the morning take a nice quick walk to get the blood flowing and walk up to the buffet grab your coffee and yogurt and walk back to the cabin and relax your legs from the short walk on your balcony while enjoying your coffee and yogurt. That is free.

Is it really so hard to believe that someone likes to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee and yogurt on their balcony and that is one reason they like to cruise?

OP, continental breakfast is still supposed to be free, so you should be able to enjoy your balcony as you wish.

Thank you!!!:)

Thank you! I sure hope they change the complementary continental breakfast on the other ships back to that on the escape. We'd always enjoyed a plate of fruit slices in our cabin first thing in the morning but that had been taken off when the room service fee started. I hope the Escape menu isn't just for the Escape.

Sitting on the balcony and enjoying breakfast is one of our favorite things about cruising. We were on the 3-day Escape in mid-November and I have a picture of the menu that eroller posted and another poster confirmed. So, triple confirmed. :) I ordered yogurt, chocolate croissants, and coffee, and my DH ran up to the buffet and grabbed what he wanted and brought it back to the room so we could enjoy our food on the balcony.

Rather than including cards for complimentary room service in rooms like has been done in the past, you just have to call. They were about a half hour early on our deliveries and didn't call beforehand, but we were awake so it didn't bother us that they were early. Just a heads up in case you're expecting a phone call as your wakeup call.

So, just to clarify. They don't provide the door hangers for complimentary breakfast anymore? You have to call? Oh well, how was the coffee on the Escape? It was terribly strong on the Getaway. I had to figure out the right ratio of hot water to coffee everyday in the buffet.
