cruisinnorth Posted December 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2015 Hi All, Simple, I hope, question. What brand of cameras are sold on board Celebrity ships. We haven't been on Celebrity since 2009 and if I knew then I certainly can't remember now. We will be on the Eclipse February 7th of next year. Thanks in advance for any help! az_tchr Posted December 8, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2015 Some cheap Polaroid and OK Panasonic last cruise. Two months later the selection was completely different on a different ship. I note prices were comparable to a bit higher than I found online.
awhfy Posted December 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2015 In March of this year on Eclipse they had Canon, Nikon & Fuji (underwater) cameras along with GoPro. Prices were full price (no tax) of what I looked at
Rare chemmo Posted December 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2015 As another cruiser said it varies from cruise to cruise and with limited stock. Knowing we would have a lot of OBC and needing a good but not too good small camera for the beach we priced up several options before we cruised. We then took our old, basic, waterproof with us in case we could not find what we wanted. We did find a good deal on board, improved price by being end of stock. So I guess what I am saying is if you are not stuck on one particular make/model you will find some choices. If you are looking for a great bargain, unlikely, but you will get a reasonable price. It worked for us because of the OBC and the fact that there were several makes/models we knew would be suitable. When we bought our main camera, however, we were more fixed on what we wanted and bought pre cruise. Possibly we could have bought it slightly cheaper on board but just not worth the gamble.
