There are lots of threads on this, here is one....

You can be assigned up to a couple of days prior.

Even though the personalizer closes within 5 days or so of the cruise you can see any cabin change on the travel summary/bag tags which is available up to embarkation.

Hi

So long as Princess knows who you are there will be a cabin waiting for you,

the latest we were given our cabin a couple hours after we sailed.

After sailing??!!! That would drive me nuts!

Well, we have boarding passes, so I'm guessing they are expecting us. LOL...better be anyway!

I knew there had to be threads out there. But to be honest, I was to lazy to search. Oops.. Sorry. And thanks for the link.

This is very unusual and probably due to a mixup.

Edited to add see the post by Shogun below. ;)

Hi colo

Princess wanted to take a block of cabins out for maintenance, but had to wait until after sailing to see who had boarded, we had a holding cabin, we were then given our cruise cabin and had to get new cruise cards etc.

Hmmm...makes me wonder. Our ship is coming to us from a 3 day coastal after a 10 day dry dock. Wonder if that has anything to do with it?

We got our room assignment! We booked an inside room, ID category. We got an ocean view obstructed, OW category on deck 8. We are happy.

Now 2 more days till we can be on the Ruby once again.

Yay for getting upgraded! Have a fantastic cruise!
