cruisingforfun72 Posted January 12, 2016 #126 Share Posted January 12, 2016 we just made our final payment for our march 27th cruise and our pcc told us that they had a meeting today and were told Harvest Caye would not be open until november. Linda the Book Lover Posted January 12, 2016 #127 Share Posted January 12, 2016 When I logged on, the shore excursions also disappeared from the Feb. 27th sailing as well. They are still listed for Cozumel and Roatan. Someone on that Roll Call said that NCL said expect it to be updated to Belize City in about a week... Thanks for the update. olesiabr Posted January 12, 2016 #130 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Of course, because I just made my shore excursion reservations yesterday for Harvest Caye...way to go NCL! Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Starflyr3 Posted January 12, 2016 #131 Share Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) I think what may have happened with the aft penthouses is that they were actually booked. My parents are in one and honestly never saw the warning that final payment was due on 12/28. I found out about that (we had already paid) on 1/2 and fixed it less than 5 minutes later. Im guessing that had it been any longer, they would've lost their reservation. I bet that's why some came open. Also, harvest caye excursions are MIA for the March 12th sailing also. nanwel Posted January 12, 2016 #135 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Would be nice if NCL could get their act together and let us know what not to expect - will it be a day at sea or a tender day. Guess they have our money so we do not matter.

zuke2323 Posted January 12, 2016 #137 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Excursions for Harvest Caye for September 11 are also gone, so looks like the November prediction could be correct. I assume most if not all sailings will be moved to Belize City, which is fine with me.
Boschmann Posted January 12, 2016 #138 Share Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) Only reason I looked forward to HC was it would basically be free for my group of six with UBP to relax on the beach. Now it's another $300-$600 to go on an excursion or else we just stay on the ship. Makes me wonder if any of that is factoring into these delays. Sugar0802 Posted January 12, 2016 #141 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Gone for our 2/21/16 sailing, also. I'm okay with that, actually. I'd rather see the stop ready vs a soft opening. We'll have OBC to spend, but we can always have dinner in Moderno and play more Bingo. With all of the hoopla around the outcry from the locals, I wasn't really to keen on being one of the first cruises there...there's talk of protestors greeting the cruise ship. jbhcw Posted January 12, 2016 #142 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Good info..thanks everyone...I am a newbie to the NCL boards...only one NCL cruise on the old Majesty...out of Charleston many years ago...So possibly no private island for November? That is what Harvest Caye is right? Hate to hear that....as we sail Thanksgiving week with the family...
Vacationdreamer<>< Posted January 12, 2016 #143 Share Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) Count us as another to stay on the ship. I'm not happy to hear this. :( Had considered Bacab Ecopark but it's so inland.... Sigh Edited January 12, 2016 by Vacationdreamer<><

JKSWonder Posted January 12, 2016 #148 Share Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) Harvest Caye excursions not appearing for the April 24th Getaway sailing either. There were three listed there last week and now nothing. I guess I'm off to research excursions out of Belize City. Any ideas? loubetti Posted January 12, 2016 #149 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Okay, maybe I am losing my mind, but I swear that I just read that the venue is delayed about 9 months, at least until 11/16. When you are pulling off something like this unforeseen problems can arise.

It's crazy expensive thru NCL, as expected, so I'll likely go independent. I'll wait until the itinerary is officially changed before I contact independent vendors. Any independent vendor suggestions?
