OBC use on RCCL

When one gets OBC, can it be used toward tips or must it be applied to spa, excursions, specialty dining, etc.?

I know I have received it bef. and can't remember what the rules were.

Yes, you can go to guest services & they have a form you can fill out to add extra $$ to those who were especially helpful to you...

Just off Independence

I did not pre pay gratuities. RCL would deduct the tips from my obc daily.

At end of cruise, I had + .36 cents, which Visa put back on my credit card

ANYTHING you charge on the ship will go against the OBC...so it can be used for anything.

We had to prepay the tips because we had booked MTD (no choice - that's all that RCI made available to us 18 months out) and this was before they no longer required prepaid tips when you booked MTD.

That's ok with us. One more item prepaid.

OBC is a credit on your on board account

 

Any charge onboard is a debit to your on board account

Thanks Mom! I had read that. But we only have $200 in OBC right now. I'm sure that we'll have no problem spending that $. [emoji8]
