Any help would be appreciated.:) Where is this cabin on Carnival Glory.? Engines are in the aft of a ship far below the passenger cabins. Ropes? or Anchor will be all the way forward.(in the point of the ship) Id be more concern with whats above or below then the working area of the ship which does not impact most cruisers today Edited December 28, 2015 by serene56

serene56 Posted December 29, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2015 Ok- i did a check for Feb 2 on the glory-- there is a lot of oceanview cabins in the same category Call your agent and ask to be moved to 1429 its location is better and you will be away from the vibration shuddering 1424 is a connecting cabin and you do not want that one. out of your pickings 1429 is the better choice. For us-- its better to be towards the aft then the forward. you are close to foods etc 1429 has no across the hall neighbors-- this is where they store the fire doors. Easy access to the stairs/ elevators
serene56 Posted December 29, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 29, 2015 Your cabin is on the Riveria Deck not the first floor. (it will help you get around the ship) you are located in the aft of the ship-- your elevators back here will get you from the bottom to the top remember that deck 4 and 5 goes all the way through deck 3 has a dead end from the aft elevator. you can not get forward from there. THanks everyone for you advice! Hadn't booked it yet but was looking at that one because it had the same one for the July 23rd and we are doing back to back so was thinking of that one so we wouldn't have to change rooms.,:)However, second thought I don't think that would be a good one to chose. Thanks again!:)
serene56 Posted December 30, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 30, 2015 However, second thought I don't think that would be a good one to chose. Thanks again!:) I think you are right-- i would not chance the vibration /shuddering way back there. Its just not worth it. Some times the vibration is very little and you notice when they turn the engines off. Being close to the aft elevator is a good thing- I LOVE my cabin in that area on deck 7 and book that whenever we cruise. there is no noise issue from the elevator--- and if you get noisy passengers-- those people will carry the noise with them down the hall.
