I asked on the forums for the B2B we are on in January if there were any LEOs that wanted to trade patches. I had a lady from the UK ask what a LEO was. I told her that you call them Bobbies in the UK. She got the idea :)

 

I called it quits on 10/31/14 after 23 years. I wanted to do 25 years but it was just getting too crazy as you well know.

My 'run rate' has been as low as one cruise per year for the last 20 years - try to increase to two to three cruise per year - but might change when I'm retired:)

I always wanted to walk off one ship with my bags and then to another. Actually I dont even know if I can walk to it. Any thoughts?

We are not the kind of people who never brags about our trips but this thread seems to be a good place to and we are very excited!!!

We are finally getting to do our first b2b in September - Vancouver, B.C. to Hawaii to Sydney! Can't wait for that!

We have to wait a whole week before our first cruise of the year :mad:

 

We are so upset with Celebrity and RCCL that we're only going to do seven cruises in 2016. That should teach them :mad:

 

Hmmm...seven cruises already booked. Sounds like a good plan to me. ;)

I too want to complain about all the excellent food I've had on RCCL, Princess and Celebrity over the last decade. I've had to clean my computer key board of drool several times as I re-looked at the pictures I took of the meals when on board.

Time is running out for us my husband is 89 and I am 78 so we are trying to do as many as we can. The big issue is travel insurance. Not booking a year ahead anymore but have a B2B on the Summit Jan 16th Anthem of the Seas Feb 21st 55th anniversary and finally the Jewel

crossing April28th. We so lucky to be still be traveling Happy New Year to all and good health

That was part of why I posted what I did. Yes, a little bragging - I'm retired, financially comfortable and enjoying life, but also to post something positive, bring a smile and give others a chance to do the same. As Retired LEO knows, with the field we were in, you have to stay positive ...and smile (it is contagious) :D

Good for you to keep cruising while you can. :) No one can predict how much time they have

left. Too many, much younger than we are, fall to the wayside too early. Enjoy life while can and live it to fullest.

I have the perfect solution to your long wait to start your cruising year - on Tuesday I board VOS for the New Year cruise. No waiting for me as I will be onboard at the beginning of 2016 [emoji4]

Man, I wish we had the financial ability, and the ability to take enough time off of work, to cruise as often as some of you folks! We're both still young (mid 20s) so we have plenty of time to worry about that. We're still trying to hold it together until October gets here!

I've gotten quite a chuckle reading this thread. My kids think something is seriously wrong with me because I love cruising so much. I refuse to tell them how many future cruises I've already booked. No one outside of CC knows that info!

 

2016: 7 (first one is just a week away!!)

2017: 3 so far, but it's early yet!

I'm going solo from Tampa on Brilliance 1/16, getting off and walking to Vision 1/21, then driving to Cocoa Beach after Vision to get on Freedom! My suggestion is don't overpack, and have great rolling luggage! My husband and I were just on Vision last month and I checked it out.....looks quite doable, if it's not raining! I don't know about the San Juan port (if that's where you will be).

Be patient-My first cruise was 15 years ago when I was 40-I got the bug and have been on over 50 cruises. When I was in my 20s I couldnt afford to go to the Jersey Shore-and i live here-:D

october will be here before you know it and if your like me half the enjoyment is in the planning

I hope it passes by quickly! And yes, I love the planning aspect as well. I like to have a game plan no matter where we travel. Once we arrive however, it usually goes right out the window and we just wing it. I've found it often works better that way. :cool:

Luckily, I just changed careers and am now working for a very large candle company (chances are you have one in your home!), in a corporate IT position. This has just about doubled my annual salary, and they have a much more generous PTO program than my previous employer. Hopefully, this will give us the opportunity to cruise at least once per year. Twice would be good, but we usually fly down to Orlando area once per year to visit family. Unless, we take a short weekend cruise out of one of the FL ports :D

Yes, doable - take your time, do not rush to be first off the ship. You will have to do customs, walk to the next port entry. You may be able to drop your luggage and go for a walk and come back before boarding!

We leave tomorrow to spend New Year's Eve in Singapore before boarding on the 3rd. Hopefully this thread brought a few smiles...
