Saturngrl Posted December 28, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2015 A group of friends are sailing on the Silly this February. This group has a tradition of purchasing cruise gifts for each other to be given out prior to embarkation. As such, I've purchased personalized door magnets for each cruiser. Except for their individual names, each door sign is alike in appearance. I also want to give something nice to each person...perhaps a mixer to accompany the sparkling wine we will drink at sail-away? Other ideas? Rare Azulann Posted December 28, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2015 A lanyard makes a nice gift. You can have your seapass punched at guest relations to hang on lanyard. Nice to have on sea days when you might not have a pocket to hold your seapass. Also a a small brightly colored nylon tote bag that folds up into a pouch the size of a credit card. Many have a clip to attach to belt or purse. I love mine for carrying my purchases when in port.
Aunt Tina Posted December 28, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2015 I have a small metal credit card holder that I use when I travel to protect the card numbers - purchased at a dollar store for a couple dollars. Since the ship's glasses are small - I often bring a travel water bottle or insulated mug. Removable hooks to attach to the walls of the rooms are also helpful. neverbeenhere Posted December 28, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2015 On the removable hook theme... more magnets for the inside walls.(for holding papers) Things people forget to bring: Stick-up or other brand air fresheners for closets, small baby powders, febreze spray, Tide stick... jebbs Posted December 28, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Read here to partially inflate a beach ball and use as a footstool on the balcony. I haven't tried this yet, but plan to try it soon.
4774Papa Posted December 28, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2015 It is a nice thought you have. However, I would not want a magnet. If you mistakenly place it next to your car keys, they may become useless.
RG306 Posted December 28, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 28, 2015 Our group of friends does the same thing. This year I did up a little gift bag with boca clips, hand sanitizer, SPF lip balm, glade ultra, downy wrinkle releaser.
Calebo Posted December 28, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 28, 2015 A Pop up Hamper......They are so handy to put inside the closet for dirty clothing and fold up to almost nothing so don't take up much space in the suitcase.
