fireguy091 Posted October 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2005 I don't care if they charge a cover. Only one question, Is there a charge for seconds....:)
CaptData Posted October 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2005 Order what you want to begin with and there will be no need for seconds. Drinks in JR cost too.

Fritz265 Posted October 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2005 That works for me...:) It's all you can eat except for drink and milkshakes which you are charged extra for. Get the chili fries, they're worth the pain :D

lv2bcruzin Posted October 4, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 4, 2005 This place has some of the best cheese burgers I have ever had. And the milkshakes are definitely worth the extra few bucks
Catseyes Posted October 4, 2005 #7 Share Posted October 4, 2005 Johnny Rockets is great, you can eat as much food as you want. The chocolate malts are wonderful and worth the extra.
lrovnan Posted October 4, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 4, 2005 If your a crown and anchor member you will get free coupons for JR. You order anything you want and even desert. We got a oreo sundae and it was so good.
Laetitia Posted October 4, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 4, 2005 What will they charge for something like a Coke? Long long ago I used to work for JR, and I think they have the best Cherry Cokes - probably because they use cherry syrup! And do they charge for re-fills? Charge for soft drinks is the same at JRs as elsewhere on the ship. If I remember correctly it is $1.50 plus 15% gratuity. Don't believe there are free refills. bouhunter Posted October 4, 2005 #15 Share Posted October 4, 2005 I have to say after reading the posts here a while, the Johnny Rockets on the ships must be a LOT better than the two I've been to on the mainland. Experience to date has been average food at best, and poor service:( We'll give them a try on the Mariner in a few months, sounds like their burgers and everything else are great on RCCL:)

izodlacoste Posted October 4, 2005 #17 Share Posted October 4, 2005 They are better on the ship than in the real world. The cover charge is not a lot and the free coupons are great too. We went after a day of trekking in port. The ship was still in port and there was a great view while eating that glorious junk food. I think that the cover charge kept the lines short and it is worth it if you want it.

Fritz265 Posted October 4, 2005 #19 Share Posted October 4, 2005 The service at JR on Explorer was so good that the waiter was trying to kill me with chili fries and onion rings as he would constantly bring more without my asking. Damn him........

FunCruiser56 Posted October 4, 2005 #21 Share Posted October 4, 2005 Our family was not impressed at all with JR. We hit it at around 2:30 one afternoon and maybe the staff was tired or something. Service was not good at all. Burgers seemed precooked and sat under the warmer too long. Onion rings were yummy! We did have the free coupons so cost was not a factor. As for soda- there were endless refills. Funcruiser

dfgf Posted October 4, 2005 #25 Share Posted October 4, 2005 We have a couple of them here in Cincinnati, so the only reason we went on the ship was that we could eat all we want. Like another poster mentioned, after the fries and onion rings, plus burgers, plus dessert, we were way too full to order anything else!
