Hong Kong port to airport

It's been posted here that it take about 30-45 minutes (plus traffic delays) from Kowloon to the Airport.

Note: Hong Kong has two cruise terminals; which ship will you be debarking from? The newer cruise terminal is across town and you may need to add 15 minutes to the trip.

Also note you need to be checked-in at least 2 hours before your flight departs. An alternative to driving would be: MTR (subway) or taxi to the Kowloon Airport Express Station. At the station numerous airlines have a check-in counter, check-in your luggage, get your boarding passes, and take a quick 20 minute ride directly to the airport terminals.

Hong Kong airport is pretty large so get there as early as you can. There is an underground tram that runs between both ends. Check in online and you will have to go queue for both immigration and security. If you do have extra time, there are good restaurants post-security one level up from the departures level.

Never mind the MTR / Airport Express, you do not want to be bothered by luggage and transfers. Get a taxi from the port terminal, the journey will take under an hour, and the likely fare is about HKD 250 (but cabs take HK cash only). You should have enough time.

I second getting a cab. Not too expensive and you don't have to be bothered with transfers and getting lost.

Plenty to eat at HK airport. When we fly out of HK, we usually look for something to eat. Or when we arrive into HK , we also look for something to eat.

This meal with goose meat was before a flight back to Singapore, in the public area. There are similar restaurants in the transit area as well.

This meal also in the public area. Cafe de Coral is a well known chain store.

The airport is quite large so after you check in it will take a while to get to the gate.

I don't think you will have plenty of time but it is doable.

You likely won't be off the ship until 8:30 or 9:00 AM and the drive can take an hour but I would do it with a taxi.

Be in the first group off the ship.

One more thing - flights to the US usually have additional hand searches of carry ons at the gate of all passengers. They will confiscate liquids more than 100ml even if obtained post-security. Exception are sealed duty free items. Large planes typically start boarding an hour before departure time due to these delays and the number of passengers.
