kona_wahine Posted January 9, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 9, 2016 There is a link for ask John on up his blog page. You fill it out with your email, and you get an email it was received. I've asked help 3 separate times now and have never received a response or help. Good luck.

Flatbush Flyer Posted January 9, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 9, 2016 Google National Geograhic ombudsman Christopher Elliott (who also writes a syndicated "travel problems" newspaper column). On his own website, he lists the constantly updated phone/e-mail addresses of most travel companies execs (including air and cruise lines). And it works! He and I actually traded e-mails (on a very reasonable and timely [non-picky] topic) on a Sunday morning! Mine and other similar e-mails regarding this particular topic, - e-cigs, actually convinced him to apply the same restrictive policies as were in place for traditional tobacco products. Crusin Karen Posted March 28, 2016 #13 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Does anyone know how to contact CCL customer service via e-mail? We got off the Pride yesterday and rec'd the great duffel bags as Diamond gift and the logos on both of them are UPSIDE DOWN!!!!:eek: I thought maybe they might send us replacements! Doesn't hurt to ask!:p

Not sure way you had to go to all the trouble to ask JH about vaping restrictions. It's easily found on the Carnival site and a quick google search, Smoking Policy Stateroom and Suite Accommodations All staterooms and suites are an entirely smoke free environment, including the outside balcony. This policy includes all forms of smoking, including but not limited to, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes (E-cigarettes), personal vaporizers, cigars and tobacco pipes. Guests who smoke in their staterooms or on their balconies will be assessed a $250 cleaning and refreshing fee on their Sail & Sign account. Information on this policy and fee is included in Carnival's Cruise Ticket Contract, section 8. Guest agrees to strictly comply with Carnival’s non-smoking policy. Interior Public Spaces Cigarette, electronic cigarette and personal vaporizer smoking will be permitted in the following areas: Night Clubs (except on the Carnival Sunshine and Carnival Vista) Certain areas within the Casino (for playing guests while at designated slot machines and table games) Casino Bar Exterior Open Decks Cigarette, electronic cigarette, personal vaporizer, cigar and tobacco pipe smoking will be permitted in designated exterior open deck areas. HamSammie Posted March 28, 2016 #16 Share Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Not sure way you had to go to all the trouble to ask JH about vaping restrictions. It's easily found on the Carnival site and a quick google search Policy prior was actually favorable for e-cig users when the policy was changed/revised to eliminate smoking on balcony, which did nothing more than move them to certain public areas (which in tune forced everyone to the casinos to smoke, even the non-gamblers). Then the anti-smoking army, of course, never pleased even after they had gotten their way for the 52,398 time, decided to tackle what I consider to be harmless. They forced CCL to enforce e-cigs just like a cigarette. I don't smoke or vape, but I have no issues with those that choose to vape. I'd much rather smell cotton candy or whatever vape scent they have versus tobacco smoke. So now, when the casino is so full of smoke you can't walk through it - please make sure to send your complaint via email to Flatbush Flyer. I'm sorry to hi jack this to show my own ignorance  I just had to google the word "ombudsman" as I got confused to see it as an English word (since I'm from Denmark). I was sure that "ombudsmand" was only a Danish word. Well I'm not totally wrong :D "An indigenous Danish, Swedish and Norwegian term, ombudsman is etymologically rooted in the Old Norse word umboðsmaðr, essentially meaning "representative" (with the word umbud/ombud meaning proxy, attorney, that is someone who is authorized to act for someone else, a meaning it still has in the Scandinavian languages). The first preserved use is in Sweden. In the Danish Law of Jutland from 1241, the term is umbozman and means a royal civil servant in a hundred. From 1552, it is also used in the other Scandinavian languages such as the both Icelandic and Faroese umboðsmaður, the Norwegian ombudsmann and the Danish ombudsmand. The Swedish speaking minority in Finland uses the Swedish terminology." Oh well sorry, carry on and don't mind me all excited to have learned something new today :p Edited March 28, 2016 by DanishJourney
