Premier Cruise Check In

I know there are several topics posted concerning the premier cruises but I have a specific question about check in. I am booked on one this June on the Dream. I understand the perks include priority check in and boarding. Can someone with experience (preferably sailing out of New Orleans) tell me how this works? Do the premier folks have a separate line or area to check in and board or do they gather with platinum/diamond passengers and board at the same time they do? My boarding pass doesn't say priority anywhere. We are a few sea days away from platinum so I hope this will be a nice perk. Also, I assume FTTF with the premier perks would be a waste?

Just be sure and tell the staff during embarkation that you are casino premiere and you'll be pointed into the right direction. That's important because your cabin keys will be in a different check-in point at embarkation. FTTF is not worth buying unless you want the other perks--like priority line at guest services and having your cabin ready upon embarkation.

Have a great cruise!

Yep, it's been around for a while now. Premier casino fares are supposed to board after the diamonds and platinums, when the FTTF folk start getting on the ship.

This can add a few hundred people to the priority checkin areas.

You haven't even noticed us. We premier cruisers have been around for a couple of years. They are by invitation only and there are only a few each year. Plus many of us are platinum or diamond. Also less FTTF are sold on those cruises too.

I have sailed out of New Orleans several times . There will be a sign that says something like "premier casino players this way". That is where you go. I am also platinum so I check in with Platinum's. I think premier boards directly after diamond/platinum.

Oh boy. I'm confused now. I am platinum and about to go on my first Premiere, out of Tampa. So, do I need to go to Premiere check in for anything or just do regular VIP check in? Does Tampa even have a lounge? I am leaving in 2 weeks and I guess I'm quite clueless.

Platinum still is higher priority than Premier. No changes at all for Premier sailors who are already Plat/Diamond. Three of my four cruises over a 12-month span were Premier.

Well, except out of Ft Lauderdale, they'll try to cram all of you into a small room that will barely hold the Platinums alone!

You should've seen Port Canaveral for the Sunshine Journeys cruise on 11/28. There were hundreds of Platinum/Diamond plus it was also a Premier sailing. At least they didn't try to cram everyone in the tiny VIP lounge.

Anyway, your boarding pass should say Priority, just like the other Priority. Tell whomever checks it when you enter the terminal that you're Premier and they'll direct you wherever you need to go.
