newbie60 Posted January 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2016 There are two in each laundry room. The boards fold down from the wall and the irons are stored within the cubby hole.
warburg Posted January 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2016 Is there an iron and ironing board in the self serve laundry area onboard Riviera? Thanks You will find two ironing boards and irons in the laundry rooms. Be careful where you put your quarters. Many people put them into the wrong slot. If that happens, reception will refund your money. Mary

Iamthesea Posted January 18, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) So you have to pay to use the laundry and ironing boards? Do the washing machines/dryers lock so that one can leave during the cycles and come back when the time is up? The above coming from someone who's laundry was stolen in college. :( Edited January 18, 2016 by Iamthesea

corpkid Posted January 18, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 18, 2016 The laundry rooms can get really busy on sea days. I find the best time to use them is either on a port day while staying on the ship (which I rarely do) or during dinner time. That said, if you leave your stuff in the machine for very long after the cycle, and it is busy, don't be surprised to find your stuff in a laundry hamper on the table (even if it's wet). I've seen it several times so just be aware and set your timer on your phone. :)
Iamthesea Posted January 18, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2016 Thanks all. I probably will not do laundry, then. I don't want to leave it and I don't like to sit and wait. :D Ironing, I will probably try.

They have TV, sofa & soft drinks to keep you amused while you wait I have never had my laundry taken out of the machines because I always arrive back before the time is up simple to do
