Rare Crew News Posted February 2, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2016 You can put your sodas/water in either your carry-on bags or in those bags given to the porters at the terminal. We bring a collapsible bag for sodas and then bring the bag back home inside a regular luggage case. I recommend 12-oz plastic bottles since their internal presser and construction prevents denting. Krazy Kruizers Posted February 2, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2016 Definitely plastic bottles. The new cans that soda come in are too thin and rupture easily.
EbayCruiser Posted February 2, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2016 We carried two fridge packs of pepsi & diet-pepsi in a backpack and left it with the porters and it was delivered to our room with no problem. The cans were in the fridge pack case and no problem what-so-ever.
Mother Bear Posted February 2, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2016 Does it have to be in a bag? Can I bring on a case of water n a case of pop?
sppunk Posted February 2, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) Does it have to be in a bag? Can I bring on a case of water n a case of pop? No bag is necessary. You can affix a label directly to them, they'll be delivered just like luggage. Edited February 2, 2016 by sppunk
Lizzie68 Posted February 2, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 2, 2016 No bag is necessary. You can affix a label directly to them, they'll be delivered just like luggage. I do wish people would do that rather than pack it in their luggage. We watched last year what can happen when a bottle or whatever bursts in someone's luggage, and it can impact on other luggage in the same loading bin. Luggage is thrown around, whereas a case of water or soda is usually just placed relatively carefully.
lahlah57 Posted February 3, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Boarding in Rome......is there stores that carry cases of bottled water close to the port?
DaveOKC Posted February 3, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Putting soda (especially cans) in your luggage can be a problem for yours and others luggage if they leak (seen this first hand). Remember that you can bring soda and water onboard at any port, so you really do not always need to bring everything on the first day (less to mess with). SusieKIslandGirl Posted February 4, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Boarding in Rome......is there stores that carry cases of bottled water close to the port? We took the train from Rome to the port. The train station had a great little store on the lower level where we purchased wine and soft drinks.
