Five-Night Dinner Package Question --

The RCI website (shockingly) is woefully short on details about this cruise planner package. Does anyone know if the restaurants are pre-assigned (chosen for you)? Could you do Chops every night, or are you limited to one time at each restaurant?

We purchased this package in January and were free to choose chops, Giovanni's or Izumi as we wished.

I'm also curious if you can repeat restaurants or if you buy the package for 5 you are expected to go to 5 different restaurants?

I will be on Harmony so Oasis and Allure would be most similar.

You can repeat restaurants as often as you like.

Some ships only have two or three specialty restaurants, so you would have to repeat in that case.

I also believe that you select if you want the first restaurant to be either the first or second night and they select the actual restaurant. Then you book the remaining ones on board.

We were told that the first night would be selected--wrong. Arrived on board and there was no such reservation, no matter what the website said. . Spoke to the specialty restaurant manager and he said all we needed to do was call or stop by the specialty restaurant of our choice and book. He said too many people changed so it is more efficient this way. We went to chops three times, Giovanni and Izumi once.
