The Super Bowl will be shown on MUTS and probably a couple of other locations such as the Vista Lounge & Club 6. They have the type of food many have at home or tailgating...pizza, chips, etc.

We are going on the Regal Princess Eastern Caribbean cruise that leaves February 5, 2017. It happens to be Super Bowl Sunday. Does anybody know if they will show the game on the boat? Thanks

We'll be on the ship for 14 days.(this Feb.7)Though we could care less about the game, yes it will be televised. There will be plenty of "goodies" being served. So while everyone is glued to the game, we'll be exploring the ship. If it was the Pats, then it would be different!

We were on the Crown back in 2014 for a B2B that happened to include the Super Bowl. They had the game on Muts, in at least one lounge and in the casino.

They also had a ton of food that went with the various parties throughout the ship.

While not a big football fan, I did check in from time to time.

I think the best thing about the Super Bowl was the next day. It was a sea day and we got up early to walk the promenade. After that, we got cleaned up and went to breakfast around 8:30. I swear there was not a soul on deck 7 from stem to stern. It was like a ghost ship. We got to breakfast and I think there were less than 20 people in the DR. We had a quiet breakfast.

The party crowd didn't show up until after 11 and were they quiet....

That was one of the nicest days at sea...

I have been on several cruise during the Super Bowl. Without a doubt, if they have a signal, they will show it! If it on the MUTS, there will probably be a BBQ. If it is in the Vista Lounge, there will be bar food (chicken wings, chips...). I would love to know what the revenue is for beer and other beverages.

As someone said, get there early. By the time the blessed event actually begins it will be SRO.

I have to say, it is a big bunch of fun. I would love to be on a cruise this time, as I am from Charlotte-- and our boys have had an amazing season!

Hi! Yes they will be showing it. Typically at MUTS and maybe a few bars/lounges. As others have said get there early! They showed it on our stateroom TV for our cruise last year as well.

Which ship were you on - I see in your signature that you were on Crown and Ruby last year? We were on Crown and couldn't get reception in our cabins. They showed it on the pool deck (full sun so we couldn't stay) and Explorer's Lounge.

Be aware that the feed won't be from a station showing all of the hyped up commercials. I don't even remember what played during the times out.

When I saw the SB years ago on the Coral it was the ESPN International broadcast with different announcers & instead of the network commercials it was the same ESPN promotions over, and over again.

I've read that having live programming such as sports shown in cabins cost additional for the licensing fee. On the Crown last October during the World Series sometimes it was shown on the cabin TVs in additional to MUTS & public rooms...sometimes it was not shown on the cabin TVs.

With the weather being in the 80° range next week in the LA area you should have great weather to enjoy the game on MUTS.

I do not like the Club Fusion setup for performances but it's a great spot to watch sports out of the sun which I need to do for health reasons. Get there early & hope for good satellite reception. Two years ago on the Crown in Ensenada the NFC & AFC championship games had very spotty reception...maybe the local bars jammed the signal to encourage passengers to eat & drink at their shoreside bars??? ;)

I've heard the same thing. I get that it adds up, but other lines are accommodating, so it would be nice if Princess would be, too.

We board the Ruby in LA on Super Bowl Sunday wondering when they will do muster drill? Game starts at 3:30????

I've never been in your situation however since the muster drill is mandatory I would expect the muster drill at the normal time just before sailing.

Since they have the capability to record things onboard, I wonder if they could show a delayed recording of the game on the ship?

I completely agree with you! ;)

In October 2013 on the Royal there was the World Series, college & NFL games being shown. Where they were shown varied but none were shown in the Vista Lounge & instead on MUTS & a much too small Club 6. Even then those games were not always available on the cabin TVs which was very disappointing. :(

Another factor could be their desire to get us out of our cabins to purchase more drinks?
