Day 4....

Its our 25th wedding anniversary today!

We both woke up a little hung over. This was a theme for us the whole week. lol

We went Alizar again for breakfast. And yes I had the caramel waffles with banana again. SO GOOD!!

This is Belize day. We didn't have an excursion booked this day.

We got in line for our tender ticket number 11. I wanted to stay on the ship and lay by the pool but K said we have to put our feet on Belize ground. I HATED the tendering! The boat had these plastic covers on them and we were baking there! I was a little hung over and that heat and sweating and the boating were not a good combination. I seriously thought I was going to pass out. The lady sitting across from us said, "She doesn't look so good". K was like she isn't! Right about that time we hit the dock. Thank GOD! And they kept saying tips are appreciated. I told K they want me to tip them for baking me? lol It was 11:00 when we finally set our feet in Belize.

We walked the little shopping area got a water, I got some retinol-A at the pharmacy. Over heard a conversation with a man and woman buying the little blue pill. It was kind of funny. He only wanted 5 to try out. K said he had to have a local beer. So, he had Berlin or something like that. He liked it. It was so hot out! I can't even imagine how hot it would be in the summer there. So, we headed back to the tender boat. There weren't that many people on it and I was able to get a window seat. So, the ride back was much better.

We had a couple of hours next to the pool. I tried a mango meltdown that some were talking about on here. It was really good.

We saw the Perfect Couple show. It was fun, we laughed a lot.

We had Blue Lagoon again for supper. We shared hot wings and spinach dip. The hot wings were good. But, we ordered hot and they were not even mild. Spinach dip was ok.

We had an anniversary card to use to get a cake. So, we traded that in, and took it back to our room. It would of been really good but it

was dried out.

Day 5....

We had to get up early for excursion to Bananarama in Roatan. So, we had breakfast at the buffet. Luckily it wasn't too crowed yet. I found caramel with bananas in it! So, I had that over pancakes. Really Good!

UGH tending again today! I was so not looking forward to it. I told K if I can't get next to a window I'm getting off the boat. Well, luckily they had a couple of windows open and the trip was pretty short.

We met outside of the gates and had a van of about 10. Its a 30 minute drive. We found chairs and decided go ahead and snorkel before it got too crowed out there. It was beautiful! I wish I would of had an underwater camera! We saw so many cool fish around the reef area. Big schools of fish too! The water was so beautiful and clear. And boy was it crowed later!

We went up and sat under the table to get out of the sun and have a little lunch. We ordered chips, salsa, guacamole and fish tacos to share. We were drinking a local beer and it was really good. The chips, salsa and guacamole was really good! After 45 minutes I asked the waiter where the tacos were? He said there was a problem they coming right out. We finally got them and they were on corn tortillas and we ordered flour. We just kept them didn't want to wait any longer. We only had 4 hours there. I was ready to get back out to the beach. I ended up asking for our bill 3 times! Finally I found a owner and told him what was going on. I did feel bad because the waiter was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. But, we saw other tables come and go and we were still sitting there! So, the owner took $12 off of our bill and told us we could come back and get 2 beers on him. I told him no, I didn't want to do that. But, it was nice of him to offer.

Time to leave and I so did not want to leave!

We had supper at Alizar. We both had salad and the meat lasagna. It was not good. For dessert we had chocolate raspberry crepe. It wasn't good either.

We are talking about going back maybe next February and spending a week here.

Day 6...

We went to Alizar for breakfast but it was closed. Its only open on port days. OH NO!! I have to have my waffles one more time! So, we decided to go to Grand Pacific maybe they have them.

Well, there is a sign that there is a dress code. So, we headed to buffet again. I had my pancakes with caramel and bananas. Close enough I guess!

We went to the cake decorating competition. It was fun.

So, we find a table out in the pool area and have beers and play gin together. We saw a couple that we meet on the bar hop and they joined us. HI B & B if you are reading this! We ended up having a blast! We played CLR (center left right) and spoons.

We had reservations at Teppanyaki again. I wasn't looking forward to it because it was so loud before. But, it was not near as loud this night! We both had filet mignon and K had shrimp. All was very good. The only picture I got was of the fruit platter for dessert. They give you so much food! We were stuffed! I felt so bad about wasting so much food.

We went to the Elements show. I thought I was going to see a fight between 2 older men. One was saving seats for his family and the other told him that was not aloud. A few words exchanged here. I was like OMGa really?

I really do not see why so many people like this show. There was one part where a lady is doing acrobats. Which were good. But, she is dressed like a fish or something and has fins on her feet. Some of the moves she was doing got me tickled. I had to lower down in my seat because I couldn't stop laughing. About 20 minutes in there is technical difficulty so they close the curtains. We were like Thank You God! And got up and left along with about 1/3 of the audience.

We ended up in some bar for a couple of hours.

Thanks for the Review. Can't wait to hear about the remainder of your cruise. I will be on the Jade this Saturday with my DH. We are scheduled to do the Barhop in Cozumel. What was your favorite Bar/Beach? Who had the best Food and are the prices high? How much do you suggest taking with us on this excursion? I just received my E-mail from them today on what time to be at Senor Frogs.

We have nothing planned for Belize but have a great excursion booked for Roatan.

Day 7....

We dressed up a little better today so we can go to the Grand Pacific. I'm on a mission to have those waffles one more time.

When we get in there we see so many people in t-shirts and flip flops! That aggravated me! But, I did get my waffles and oh man they are so good! So, I'm happy!

We met B & B back by the pool and played spoons again. Again we had so much fun and many laughs!

We had reservations at Cagneys again. We shared the shrimp cocktail. There were only 3 shrimp. The picture is after I ate one. But, they were good. So, since I wasn't too trilled with the steak I ordered Lobster and it was really good. K decided to try the steak again. Since the last one wasn't cooked enough he decided to order his medium well. Well, now its cooked to well done. lol He can't win! Also, since it wasn't seasoned enough. He ordered cajun seasoning on it. Again it was just bland. We both had wedge salad. I didn't order a side because I wanedt to have room for dessert.

I ordered raspberry creme brulee and it was really good. Kind of sweet but good. K ordered the orea cheese cake. He liked it. I just thought it was ok.

There was fog so we had to dock in Houston at 9:00 instead of in the morning. So, we had to pay taxes again on drinks. And some were disappointed because they closed the casino.

We met B & B at karaoke and then headed to The Quest. We had a blast! We laughed so much!

Disembarkation day....

We had breakfast in buffet again.

I'm so ready to go home and get my dog and sleep in my bed! We had fun but seems like we have been gone forever.

Disembarkation went well. We took our own luggage to make things go faster. We were in the car and headed home by 8:10.

We spent some time most evenings in the spinnaker or medusa.

We went to the Illusionist show some where in there. We thought it was so cheesy we got up and left after about 15 minutes.

I also, tried the rebellious fish I kept hearing about on here and it was ok. I really like mojito's and had one and it was awful. Its like they forgot to put the simple sugar in it. Thank goodness it didn't cost me! We had a bloody mary each morning. They were always good.

Thank y'all for taking the time to read. I just really wanted to give back because before the cruise I couldn't get enough of reading about the Jade.

We liked all the bars and the beaches are all beautiful. I have more pictures of the bars but didn't think people cared. lol You have to pay the rest of your bar hop when you get on the van. I think it was $80. We spent $60 to $80 on food and drinks. It really just depends on how much you plan on drinking. I was trying to pace myself. So, I only had 1 beer at each place. K had 2. They were $3 to $4 each. We had the coconut shrimp at the last bar. Sorry can't remember the name of it. Suppose to be real good. I just thought they were ok. K liked them. We also had chips, salsa and guacamole at the 3rd place. It was good. Now the chips are not what we are used to in the states. Just to warn you. lol

Also, these bars are NOT fancy! These places would be condemned in the US. But, we really enjoyed it!

Thanks for the review! I will be on the Jade in four weeks and your comments are helpful.

I think the dress code at the Grand Pacific is for dinner only, so at breakfast and lunch shirts and flip flops are ok...Does anyone else know for sure?

Thanks a bunch for the information. It has been really helpful. I haven't been able to pack since my MIL is in the Hospital & we have been spending a lot of time there. I plan on spending some time each evening this week getting it done.

Maybe, but the sign was outside of the door and again at the register at breakfast time.

Thank you so much for the review. I am under the understanding that Cozumel has more than one port. Do you happen to remember where the Jade ports?

In Cozumel we were not at the port where Royal Caribbean is at, it was closer to the Del Sol and other stores than the other port. I can't remember the name though.

Thanks! We are meeting up with a couple from another ship. Just wanted to check and see if it might miss them.

Great review, thanks for sharing.

Can I ask about Bananarama, is there much shade on the beach? We are thinking of going here but we don't dock until 10am and I'm worried all the shady areas will be full by the time we get there. I don't want to sit directly in the sun, it will be enough being in the water.

Also, do they set the return time to the ship or can you chose to go whenever you want?

Thank you.
