Justmekaren918 Posted March 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2016 To all Solo's be very vigilant of your points. Just sailed in Jr Suite and only got 8 points for the 4x day instead of 12. Sent email off to have them add the missing 4pts. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Nhsaltshaker Posted March 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2016 I concur. It seems their system just doesn't want to acknowledge it. A quick phone call worked for me.

Royal2464 Posted March 3, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2016 My personal experience over the past year is they get it wrong almost every time. You would think it would be less expensive and time consuming for the initial person to get the point values correct. Instead it requires a call to Royal tieing up one representative while they have to go to resolutions to get the correction approved. So it requires three people to get it correct, when the first person should have gotten it correct to begin with.
Justmekaren918 Posted March 3, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted March 3, 2016 What do you earn more points as solo or something? Yes, 2x in a normal cabin, 3x in JS suite and up. In my honest opinion it should be 4x in js suite and up! I spend 200% to occupy these cabins generally. DaddyBytes Posted March 3, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2016 What do you earn more points as solo or something? If you are solo in a cabin you get 2 points per night instead of 1. You also get one additional point a night if you are in a suite.

If I remember they missed it 2 years ago in my js suite. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
Nhsaltshaker Posted March 3, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 3, 2016 If you are solo in a cabin you get 2 points per night instead of 1. You also get one additional point a night if you are in a suite. Unless, of course, you are in a Studio Cabin. Then you only get one point per night.

Without thinking too hard, I would say that my points post correctly about 80% of the time. :) And when they don't, a quick phone call and the correction is instantly made. MattInFLL Posted March 4, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 4, 2016 Mine are correct about 50%. Your status must get you more accuracy Carol ! :) but always easily corrected with a phone call to D+ desk.

CarpeCerevisi Posted March 4, 2016 #13 Share Posted March 4, 2016 I always check my points a week or so after a cruise. They get my points correct maybe 20% of the time. I just send them an email via the web site asking for the correction. They usually correct it in a couple of days. I believe the rule is if you sailed solo and paid any amount of single supplement the per night points are doubled. Normal suite bonus points are then added to that if you were in a suite. LisaAtlCruiser Posted March 4, 2016 #14 Share Posted March 4, 2016 I have been fortunate so far in that my points have been accurate. But I always look to make sure!
Rare Scrapnana Posted March 4, 2016 #15 Share Posted March 4, 2016 Thanks for posting this. I have only been on one RCI cruise and didn't know I was supposed to get double points. Will have to call them. You can learn so much on Cruise Critic!
Rare little britain Posted March 4, 2016 #16 Share Posted March 4, 2016 However you do not get extra points if you do a low cost upgrade to a suite......like if they call you and offer you an upgrade for a couple of hundred $$$$$. seacruise9 Posted March 5, 2016 #17 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Hi, I had the same problem. I recently cruised solo aboard the Adventure of the Seas on a seven-day cruise. I only received seven points for my cruise. As a result, I sent an e-mail requesting that I receive the full 14 points. Because I am rapidly approaching Diamond Plus status, the points matter to me. :) Chuck
Cuizer2 Posted March 5, 2016 #18 Share Posted March 5, 2016 I haven't had any problems with my points. However, I'll find out if they get it right again in a couple of months.
linkerbink Posted March 5, 2016 #19 Share Posted March 5, 2016 I've only cruised solo once and I got the full 14 points right off the bat. Next time solo I will be in a solo cabin so I will "only" get 7.

I sent a email, and I guess I gotta wait. I just wished people could do an assigned job correctly the first time instead of having to waste my valuable time to correct it. I can't imagine that Royal Caribbean has someone entering points for 60,000 people every week.
cruising grandma Posted March 5, 2016 #22 Share Posted March 5, 2016 Of my five solo cruises, all my points have been correct. I have two more upcoming, and hope they post correctly.
wolfcathorse Posted March 5, 2016 #23 Share Posted March 5, 2016 my solo points have never ever posted correctly. I have always had to call for a correction.
Virtopia Posted March 5, 2016 #24 Share Posted March 5, 2016 I've been fortunate enough that my points have always been correct. I usually check about 2 weeks after a sailing. My upcoming cruise is the longest sailing I've been on so I will definitely be checking to see that the points are added properly.
