Keep warm inside the ship?

Recommended Posts

Our last few cruises have been in the Caribbean and there hasn't been much of a concern as to "daywear" inside the ship--anything short sleeved would do as the air was always comfortable. Walking out to the deck or by doorways that open to the deck brought in warm air. We are sailing the Norwegian Fjords in May and wondered if we would need more "long sleeve" type shirts for inside the ship. Perhaps a sweater or sweatshirt as well? (Planning on layers and rain gear for excursions).

thanks!

I think layers are the best bet, much more flexible.

Probably dress like for Alaska outside.

Inside wear an under layer and a thin jacket or hoodie and scarf if need be.

Another thought. Rooms are colder the emptier they are. Us humans throw off lots of heat.

When arriving early the showroom is always freezing. Halfway thru the show temps a bit too high, especially in the upper sections.

Really? I have had the opposite experience.....arrived to a HOT stateroom

and looking at the thermostat and it says it is on COLD:eek::rolleyes:

Talk about UNcomfortable. I guess we are all different but I would rather

my cabin be too cold and at least can warm it up.

But I do bring a warm up type jacket and a cardigan on every cruise.

I bring a small USB fan onboard. The staterooms can be stuffy.
