I've also wondered this. Thanks for the info! Does smart casual apply to the formal nights too? We had talked about going to a specialty restaurant on the formal nights to avoid having to dress so formally.

Yes smart casual is acceptable on formal on suggested formal nights also. You will see people in formal attire but it is not requested or necessary.
