OCruisers Posted March 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Happily, you do NOT need to bring beach towels with you! They are provided for your use at the pool and to take with you on port stops! :)

beachbum53 Posted March 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Happily, you do NOT need to bring beach towels with you! They are provided for your use at the pool and to take with you on port stops! :) Just make sure you don't leave the towels behind when in port, or you'll be charged for them. You'll have beach towels in your cabin to use. There is also a towel hut by the pool where you can get towels. You just show your S&S card, and when you're finished with them return them to the towel hut.
Rare MicCanberra Posted March 6, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Towels are provided but make sure you return them as they do charge (around $25-40) depending on the line. I am not sure how much Carnival charge.
firecrewcapt Posted March 6, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 6, 2016 Wow, never heard of a way they can track your beach towels at the pool or off the ship. Never had to show any type of card, checkout a towel with anyone and after the first day our pool/beach towels are used from the room and we never bring one back, just leave it in the dirty towel hut at pool. RCI charge out the towels, if you do not return them, you have to pay.:( X and Princess do not have that system but you may also be charged if you have lost them or taken them. cruisingbajan Posted March 14, 2016 #9 Share Posted March 14, 2016 Towels are readily available. You will actually find a set in your room when you first board.
Athlen Posted March 17, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Get a PackTowl or "camp towel". Aboard ship all your imaginable towel needs will be catered to. If you're going to go into the water from shore you'll be told to bring a towel with you. The ship will provide it, but you'll have to carry it. A camp towel is about $20 but it is about the size of a dinner napkin and very light. It's not a necessity but I liked having it.
